I imagine the nearby residents are glad it's a short patch of road. I feel bad for the ones that live right along it, but there might not even be anyone that close...who knows??

Sometimes I notice it when I'm talking on the phone, but I've lived here for an accumulative ~15 years. So by now I guess it's completely toned out. If I drive down my street there's usually 4 c-17 globe masters and that's typically what flies in so I can assure you it's not for a lack of them being loud. Sometimes it's crazy to watch those things fly in as slow as they do. It looks like they should just fall out of the sky.

if you hear a sound enough times it wears our the little hairs in your ears to the point that you actually cant hear it any more.

That bullshit is nothing. Anybody ever been to MCRD San Diego? The airport is right ------- next door to the base, I stopped noticing it after my first few days there.
