Honda Motors in Non honda cars?
I was curious to see where I can throw, say, a bseries into. The whole point being going to non homosexual platform, miatas, festivas, metros, need not apply.
The one thing that I fell in love with is a 05 elise with a bseries in it, but the bodies alone are like 20k :1 Any cars I may not have thought of that would be relatively straightforward, or worth swapping into anyways? (I know you can put one in a crown vic... I dont mean that much lame work). |
Re: Honda Motors in Non honda cars?
Well if you have the time and skills you can put it in anything...you just need to fabricate mounts and then I'd say rewire the entire car with a honda harness...my fav is a mini with a h22 swap

I'd rather have a 351W in my old GT6/Spit chassis. They fit right in w/ no cutting, and with aluminum heads they don't weight any more than the I-6 that came out of it since half the accessories no longer exist.

Re: Honda Motors in Non honda cars?
My buddy is selling an 85 Golf, aparently was stripped down and just painted, motor is out of the car. Are those cars any good for anything? Maybe looking for a multi year project, wonderring what I could do with it

Re: Honda Motors in Non honda cars?
fitting the 1.8 20v turbo from an Audi TT is easy in those mk1 golf's. 400bhp a few tuning bits away.
Interesting the love for old british motors. My mate owned a fully restored spitfire his dad race's them. |
Re: Honda Motors in Non honda cars?
a lot of people have probobly seen this, but this car was designed around accord engine and suspension. they have h22 kits and people are puting all kinds of engines in them
copy and paste this link. it wont let me remote link or anything http://avto.over.net/galerija/galeri...totip/K1_1.jpg |

Lovely styling, though, and if you get a pre'73 car (BMC switched to Toledo steel then) the rust is nowhere near as bad as a domestic of the same year. |

Interesting the love for old british motors. My mate owned a fully restored spitfire his dad race's them. first an 85 is mk2,and second a aba/16v would bolt right in and make more power with less money. you need to do some massaging to get any of the newer 4cyl engines in there |
