bend the tabs that hold the hood from opening all the way. even piece of ---- subarus let you do this

There is 2 10mm nuts 1 on eachside of the hood. They are under the rubber part of the cowl near the hinge


Take those out with the tabs that they hold down


Is this on your CRX?

I drilled a 1/2'' hole about 1 inch below the factory hood prop hole so the hood opens up more.

the only time that it is ever necessary to open a hood that far you should probably just take it off anyway...

yeah after I got the windshield replaced I've been ---- about letting people raise my hood that high again.
If you do that ---- watch where it hits, mine is 2 points on the edge of the windshield. Just screams a gust of wind is going to chip then crack your $200 windshield.

If you simply open your hood and watch the hinges you will see what the guys above are talking about removing. It's pretty self explainatory I'm sure you'll kick yourself for making a thread before you looked at it. I want to fix mine to protect the windshield some day when I'm not lazy.
