Honda Beat rip off on Ebay - may need your help
 

Just won an auction for a Honda Beat, that is aparently located in BC. I managed to be one of about 4 bidders on the car and eventually won it with a high bid of $305.00.

Anyway, that was 3 nights ago and after sending the seller about 8 emails, I have yet to hear a response from him.
I realize that he likely won't sell me the car at a huge loss (I know I wouldn't), so he's not replying. I'm going to give him a couple more days to reply and if not, I will post his email and mailing address for all of you guys to ruin him in true Homemadeturbo.com style.

Looks like a good deal.

Legally he has to sell it to you, but he probably won't.

One time I won an auction for some brand new SRP 9:1 20 over d-series pistons for $100! I was so pumped, until the guy told me that he wouldn't sell them for that cheap because it's too much of a loss. All I could do was file with eBay and leave negative feedback.

thos cars are awsome track cars...iv seen 1 here in the US it was a track only car...i loved it it was beating on a few porsches during a porshe club...that weekend we were having a funday on a friday he was driving from newyork..halfway on his way down something went wrong and he already paid to run...satuday comes along and porsche club already bought out the track...the guy with the car shows up and talks to the director of porsche club and they let the beat run with the porsches....after the car passes 90% of the cars their by the end of porsche club the the director came up to me and a few friends and was like " i dont think were going to have porsche club next year"...and my boss was like why not and he said because they'r all thinking about selling their cars and getting hondas....he was joking around but those things can handle like nothing iv ever seen..also very little kinda like a geo convertable..anyway the beat at the track was fully built NA and has a full suspension and racing slicks...sorry for the long story but i thought it was funny

get a cop(you have to pay for the time)
sho up to pay the 5000 hand him the payed bill infront of the cop and take you ------- car

The seller has not responded to any of my emails.

I keep asking him stupid questions, like:
"When is the best time to pick up my new car?"
"Do you have any more pictures of my car that I could see?"
"Would you prefer a certified cheque for $305 or should I paypal you the $305?"

My last message to the seller came back with a message:
Delivery Status Notification (Delay)
Guess he doesn't want to hear from me anymore.

Looks like I'm going to Paypal him the amount, then get one of my best friends (who happens to be a lawyer) to email him and send him a letter on the company letter head....just to stir the pot a little bit :)

Anyone here live close to Richmond?

He has refused the Paypal payment:

I sent him an email:
"I have purchased this car and I am making arrangements to come pick it up. THERE IS NO OTHER BUYER as the car rightfully belongs to me. The auction was a binding contract and I will take action legally to obtain the car."

Shut up ::) The guy was a dumbass/douchebag/jagoff/idiot/---- (take your choice) for not setting a reserve, so it's his own damn fault for not putting one on or ending the auction early. Also its his legal and moral obligation to sell the car to Ihatedomestic, as much as it hurts to take a loss.

The fact is, I don't really care if I get the car or not...I'm just fighting because technically the car *should* be mine...and the guy was an idiot for posting the car without a reserve (and not even in Ebay motors). If I really wanted to, I'm sure there is a legal way of obtaining the car, but that requires money I simply don't have.

I did finally hear from the guy though:

"Buddy, I am not selling my car anymore. And look, this is not my e-mail. If you want to talk. e-mail me at bchiu@....

I have do a full-refund and that's the best I can do for you. I have ask E-bay to cancel to bidding 4 days ago, they did not do it in time. So your binding contract is really not in effect. I have all the records and e-mail regarding closing of the bidding.

I replied with:
"If you forward the emails from ebay, I'll back off. If not, I'm coming to pick the car up and will have my lawyer and/or the police in tow if required."

I'm just trying to make him sweat a bit, maybe he'll learn his lesson.
