Homemade stereo install
2 Attachment(s)
My boy Shawn installs stereo ---- in cars as a hobby. This kid comes to him with six amps and twelve 10" subs that he bought at walmart (pioneer). Shawn the salesman talks the kid into buying some top end ---- from him at a 20% discount in exhange for his pioneer gear and I talked him out of three of the amps and three of the subs at the cracked out price of 50 bucks. He also hooked me up with a pretty nice triple sub q-logic box and some capacitors. I spent the last 2 hours screwing this stuff down and wireing it to the hatch panel in the teg. I would say it turned out pretty good. I cant wait to hear what it sounds like. Crappy equiptment or not it's gotta make some noise.

Re: Homemade stereo install
I don't want to put my 2 12s and a 2000watt amp into my del sol because i think it's too heavy and won't help me go anyfaster. BTW my box + amp weight like 120lbs. ---- that.

So I bust your balls about it ;) And on top of that I am a dickhead |
Re: Homemade stereo install
I already changed the door hinges and i needed a ------- car. I am going to boost it regardless of the trans. Noone else wanted to trade anything but a piece of ---- truck. How the hell was i gonna tote a 2 year old and a 5 year old in a two seat s10? I don't mind the ball busting. Keeps things interesting at 5 am.

Re: Homemade stereo install
Being this is HMT I was hoping that it was gonna actually be a home stereo system with seperate components. Now that would of been gangsta. :6 This is ghetto.

Re: Homemade stereo install
well.....those .5 farad caps suck donkey dick just so you know. I guess it'll work. But now you're gonna need to make it faster just so it can actually get going.
Its gonna beat hard. With an amp per sub, it might be a bit much, but whatever. Just dial in the amps so that they're all about the same...I have a feeling someones gonna want your stereo stuff, and offer you a broken window for it. I don't know how the scumbags are in your area, but i have 1 12 in my trunk that makes a little noise, and I've had someone follow me for almost a half hour, until they realized I knew they were following me and I was just driving about 2 miles, then make a U-turn, then do it over and over again for 30 minutes or so. Post pics of the final install. |

Post pics of the final install. i had someone follow me once, i did the same thing except i didn't make a u-turn. there are 2 streets in san diego that run almost parallel, i drove down one 20mins. took a side street to the other and drove back down it for 20 mins. took a side street to the first one and drove back. he followed me for 2 hours. i don't know if he wanted my ---- that bad and just got tired of driving or if he figured i wasn't going home anytime soon |

Loki, ---- off.
Plan is to boost this auto pig in the spring using on of EPs ching chong kits. Ordering the obd1 auto harness from rywire at the end of the week. Waiting on some funds to get chipped ecu. The stereo was something to do out of boredom. I set the amps at the same level across the board. This ---- is loud. Not muddy loud either. I'm not worried about someone breaking out the window. I leave my doors unlocked. My dog rocks the invisible fencing collar. His name is Zeek and he bites. Attachment 10430 Attachment 10431 Attachment 10432 Attachment 10433 |
Re: Homemade stereo install
thats just asking for some broken glass
|
Re: Homemade stereo install
yeah the dog is cool and all, but when you go to gay mart that dog won't be there.
you might want to either cover all that ---- up or tint that back window better. you should rip that tint off anyway, it's dead. :8 |
Re: Homemade stereo install
ive only owned a pioneer head unit, it was ok but i'll stick to alpine head units and RE subs
|
Re: Homemade stereo install
If I lived near you I would bust your rear glass for being a dumb ass. WTF, why would you mount them there? Not only is it begging to be stolen; when the sun hits it it's going to heat the amps up hella fast.
