I've gotta say, this thread is ------- weird.
I've always said "respect is earned" and no one deserves it "just because". This regularly makes me unpopular here and there because I am not afraid to tell arrogant ******* to ---- off.
As much as I don't like all the total bullshit that goes on on here, it has its advantages. You need to earn your place somewhat. Some do this by bending over and posting **** and kissing ****, others do this by sticking up for themselves. There are other sites I spend time on around that I have totally lost respect for because they kiss sponsors ***** and ban dudes like me for having the ***** to argue some tech a bit with said sponsor. Money talks, sad truth.
As for "nlgger", to me it doesn't mean skin colour. It is behavioural. eg, when I catch some ---- with his screw driver in my ignition, THAT is a nlgger no matter if they are yellow, white, brown, or black (or any other shade of "i didnt have as shower for a month and never went to school".
Racism is about cultural differences. At home I say the following every day "get out of the ------- way you useless ------- gook". Its the sad truth. Typical asians can not drive. They typically come from places that have so much traffic, and so few roads, they never really learned. At home I have quite a number of yellow mates that refer to other yellow individuals as "gooks" and recognise the real problem with the infestation that they have become due to our poor government policies. My favourite racism has alwasy been hatred of south africans. Why? They are white, therefore its "ok". There are a number of excellent points made above about the narrow nature of banning "nlgger" from being used.
You need to leave it as is, or ban all the racial terms slurs etc.
Reality is that 9/10, they are calling a fellow white dude a nlgger, and 9/10, they dont mean a damn thing by it anyway.
I found this looking or JD, which rock did he crawl under anyway?
It all seems very non hmt.
also, how in hell does it cost 1000's to run a site like this?? Mine so far costs 60/yr and bandwidth is FAR from an issue. (granted, its not released to the public just yet) It would have to have HUGE traffic to be in the 1000's. perhaps its time to look for a new host?
I'm also a bit stunned by various posts being wholesale editted... When people are not free to speak their mind on a topic like this, the people doing the editing have something to hide...
