Home Made (DIY) Camber Correction Kit Idea.
Well today upon inspection of my car, I noticed that my tires are horrible on the inner wall, I got them when I got the car which wasnt even a year ago, so I came up with the Idea that if I was to take off the upper control arm on the shock tower, and grind the metal forward about an inch and then weld 2 washers one on the top and one on the bottom, so 4 per shock tower, it would bring the whole upper control arm forward by about an inch, and thats about all it takes to straighten the camber out. let me know what you guys think, basically the stock location where the holes used to be would be welded shut and the steel washer would be welded to the body to handle the stress.

Yes it would work if I understand you correctly but REALLY GHETTO. The other problem I see is that the thickness there is like 3/4". Might be hard to get it correct.
Just buy a 35 dollar ebay kit. Not much to spend and it works well and based on a Ingalls kit |

For the little bit of money it costs for a camber kit, i'd rather just pick one up off ebay instead of fooling with suspension.

I found this though http://www.wickedtuning.com/images/WK9600HC.jpg and it costs 119$ us, and if you were to ever get a bad baljoint you'd have to spend that money again. My method allows you to use OEM control arms without all the BS I agree the rear camber kits are cheap, but the front are not. |

Ooooohhh..I have that style camber kit in my EK civic. Had to change the whole upper control arm to Ingalls. What Civic are you putting it on?

Your username says 4th gen, and your sig says 5th gen.. not sure what you drive, but both generations use the $39 ebay camber kits.

They bolt to the strut tower and the upper control arm bolts onto them. They slide back and forth so you can adjust your camber.
