haha, i can't believe that anyone would be neive enough to believe that by instituting compulsory military service that somehow we are les apt to go to war.
i mean who the ---- do you think decides weather or not to invade a country? all they need to do to avoid future wars is to stop invading other countries.
besides look at vietnam, there was a draft in place back then, all you had to do to get out of going to war was to go to college instead, how many senators sons are NOT in college.
besides there are mor important pieces of legislation that have already passed that you should worry about, like the patriot act and the new military commissions act of 2006 that was recently passed. together they effectively do away with the bill of rights. ( except the 3rd amemdment, you will never have to worry about any forced sleepovers with the army)

Well, I signed up for the Army. I know there is a war going on, but frankly I dont give a ----. The benefits I found in enlisting outwiegh the disadvantages. Yes, I can be killed in war. I can be killed driving to work. I could have a high risk job like an electrician or something... I chose this. Yes I will be gone for 18 months (deploying in may 07 actually) but ----... o well. Whats 18 months? Im young and got potentially my whole life ahead of me. Oh and the draft thing, what good that'll do, my ***. Vietnam had a draft. Bush's daddy was a politician. Bush W got drafted... and wtf did he do in Vietnam? not ---- son, not ----.
