the hog runs. UPDATED WITH PICS FINALLY

5 Attachment(s)
well, finished modding my harness and installing everything and going over it twice.

the built b16a fired right up tonight. took it for a short n/a ride around the block with petey and it is balls slow. 8.5:1 b16a in a fatass gsr makes for a very slow ride.

got back and checked everything out, car was running nice, no smoke, running cool with the filled block and what do you know, drip,. drip, drip,

------ exhaust cam seal was pissing. oh well.

looks like thursday me and mahcivic will be doing the cam seals over.

other than that im very pleased., no piston slap, no wierd anything, after the new cam seals shell be ready for some hard boost.

pics of the car up soon.

Re: the hog runs.

make sure you got the intake cam seals on the intake side, and the exhaust on the exhaust side.
before decided to say ---- these so called professionals, I took my head to a machine shop to get it port and polish and get the valve seals replaced.. 60 months later. my ---- is smoking out the valve cover. I was like ----.
when I decided to rebuild my motor myself and upgrade the valve springs, I noticed the exhaust seals were on the intake side, I was pissed, and thats when I decide that I am done with shops and socalled professionals.

so check that ----. and good luck.

i hope it has rod knock, the rings blow, smash the ring lands, metal shavings destory the oil pump, scrape up your cams, and you drop a valve, ahhh what a perfect world taht would be, and karma would be delivered.

Glad to know things are going OK so far. Did you check to see is there might be a blown fuse for the cluster or a slack/unplug connector?

Re: the hog runs.

possibly dumb question, but how the hell is the enigne cooled with a filled block? WTF keeps it from overheating, especially when it's boosted. Especially when you see some (take a boosted GSR for example) built enignes pushing 300-400 and they usually have aftermarket radiators. Though the stock half size ones ---- out above 300?

Have you ever looked at a head gasket?
You will notice there are only a few holes for the coolant to pass through. Drill out the same holes in your filles block and your golden.

have you read the writeup on filling a block? it sits in there just like a blockgaurd would except without the distortion of the sleaves, it hollow below the filled in spot so it allows water to go around the sleaves just like normal

Well, the hood and bumper just went on and josh took that dirty slut to the carwash. I think a lot of you will change your minds about the red wheels when you see the pics. It resembles pure sex with the car dropped to the ground. Now I just cant wait till the dyno day :6

yeah i read the write up, but i think i just need to see it. So there's only about 6-7 inches of filler in the waterjacket, and it's in the middle area surrounding the sleves, and has holes drilled through it to let coolant pass. So in all actuality, it's like an overgrown block guard that doesn't distort the sleeves?

you people have some fucked up spelling :S

NoSex, post up some pics nigga. I wanna see them red rims. Post both day and night pics, more important the pics in daylight and not some shadowed pics, direct sunlight doggie. :y

I think in the write up he made a mistake, I think he meant to say fill salt up 6-7 inches, and the rest with the filler. i because the water jacket is about 7 inches deep.
