Well, I am on the outside looking in on this subject, but "Xplocivic" has called you out "smokey_civic" and you still have not replied with any clear answers to his accusations. The post by Xplocivic made sense, but your replies haven't been very specific or clear at all.

Ummm, I tracked it through UPS and it said: "Receiver refused shipment, package returned to sender"

When the decks get back here, I will be more then happy to resend them, as soon as this is cleared up. If indeed you are not David Faust then there is no reason why our trade should not be as stated. But if you are David Faust, then I will let the members here at HMT decide if the decks will be shipped out.

These are my opinons on the whole situation. I was not around when that other guy was scamming people so i think im a little more biased than some of the others.

I think that him having the same PS2 controller as you once had is very odd but can be explained in a few lights. I would wonder what was inscribed on it. If it is the name "Jonh" there are millions of people named john so that point would lose its relivance. But if its some odd name, then you have a good point. Now I think its very realistic that if this David Character ripped someone off for something, he would try to sell it to get cash to buy whatever he wanted...now that import shop could have sold a used controller with the ps2 that they bought from the very place that this David character sold it. now that is realistic to me but is awfully suspicious. The one thing i find very odd about this is, when i buy something that is NEW i would notice if it had someones name etched in it or didnt look brand new...so i think that is a big part of "evidence" that we are all skipping over.

now we are also just taking xplocivs word for the matter that his friend etched his name in his controller. i know if my friend did that i would beat his ***. So i also find it weird that there is no proof one way or another to say "hey...that was etched by my friend 6 months ago." because how do i know you didnt etch it in 10 seconds ago...i cant think of a motive...thats my only problem.

Now the phone thing is what makes this very fishy to me. I know if i was giving someones number out to a guy on the internet, i would be pretty sure that person would know my name. But also it seems kind of odd when you called to say "do you know matt?" and when the guy said no...you asked "do you know david frost?"...personally i would say "o ---- i think i have the wrong number" and call back again...it seems a little premeditated.

If i were going to decide right now whats going on based on the evidence that is supposibly there...i would say there are too many things linking smokey to this david character...im not 100% sure because some of this evidence is fickle.....like you selling your ps2 that you never got back, but you are trading for ps2 controllers again? i dunno all this seems like it belongs more on Judge Judy. All in all i think there are alot of evidence linking smokey to david but also there is as much evidence that xplocivic knew soley and is able to use to make his story believable....

This is not saying xplocivic is a liar or smokey_civic is a liar....im just stating my opinions based on a totally bias stand point...

I didn't get just PS2 controllers, i got EVERYTHING back. PS2, games and controllers. The name on the bottom of the controller is "DIENES" which is my buds last name, we accidentally traded controllers one time when our PS2's were next to each other at my old house. You are forgetting the fact that this PS2 that Smokey sent tme MATCHES the serial numbers on my warranty receipt. I have no ill motive. I am just trying to get some answers.

(i usually throw recipts away as soon as i leave a building.. they are unnecessary clutter and they're irritating..)

well like i said....When people get stuff they stole/scammed for they generally sell it off....so it is very possible for this David guy to sell his stuff and this car import guy to buy the stuff from someone or this david guy sold it to the car import guy....or david=smokey......i dont know...i was just trying show that there are more than one way things can happen.

if it were sold to a pawn shop of some sorts its a VERY big coincidence that the same two games were purchased w/ the same controller.

Now.. we have proof this david faust name is an actualy person. We have people who know them on the phone. we have address w/ matched phone numbers. What I find is that there is no proof an actual "matt" exists. so lets see a Drivers Liscence w/ some school ID

So the idea of somebody both A: kinda knowing the other guy(which is probable in a town this size), and B: both being interested in hondas in a town this size and C: both coming in contact with the same ps2 and controllers through a "pawnshop". and D: both finding HMT and doing business with the SAME person for the SAME goods.

Wow, this is crazy. Someone needs to call David and then call Matt and compare.

Personally, I've got nothing against "Matt" or smokey_civic, I got my stuff, and our dealings have been fine. He's been a normal nice guy.

I'd suggest to Matt as a HMT aquaintance to do a few things to prove who he is.

#4 Receipt from that stuff
#5 a reasonable explanation on why your brother didn't know you. Personally, if someone called and asked if I knew Stephanie, I'd be confused and might say no, unless you asked "is your sister stephanie", and then I'd say, yeah, how did you know that. My sister lives in Millwaukee, and most people don't know I even have a sister, so I'd be confused too.
