A jap engine in a german van?!?!?! :o Weird ----, I know you can put any engine in any car with enough work but I never would have thought of that one. Good luck and keep us updated, I can't wait to see this. This is even worse than the guy I know with the RX7 TT motor in a MGB.

I know a guys who drives a vanagon with a Subie 2.5 and another guy with the real badass- a westfalia Diesel swapped out for 1.8 8v with Weber and header. The Diesel ones had an inline four that is tilted VERY far toward the driver's side which bolts up the same as a 1.8 8v so in stead of a waterboxer they have a 1.8 that can ------' powerbrake up a storm.
