well for the last two weeks my car was running like shyt(redlines at 5k) and today i FINNALLY got it up and running right, after such a long time i finally got to the hear the SWEEEEET sound of my tires SCREEEAAMMing as i hit second and third gear at 8000 rpm.

anyways the point of this topic i live in florida, and whenever it is cool or an OK day my car runs fine and it has alot of power, BUT on the REALLY HOT DAYS, I can feel the power loss and i was thinking of ways to keep the air cool goin into the engine, by adding a small fan behind the intercooler. pic below.



just a thought, so tell me what you guysl think?

or you can make a an air to water cooler but i like the idea of water injection..

funny, i've been thinking of this same exact idea for a while, I mean it works for the radiators right? Why wouldn't it for the IC?

You could always purge co2 across your intercooler through some punched tubes cheap and hella more effective.

i'm thinking the fan would be the cheapest, no need to refill anything, and u can turn it on with a flick of a switch.

Advance discount auto parts store in my area has the small 12' fans. i am not sure if they have smaller, but that's a good size fan to put behind the intercooler.

lots of guys with ford lightnings use a couple of fans on the intercooler, they say it really helps in stop and go traffic. Or at slow speeds, they are also water to air coolers though.
