FL isn't the South, it's gator and stupid Yankee infested swampland. VA/NC/SC/GA... now, that's the South.

Ya'll come up to the Dragon, I'll show you around the trailerpark. ;)

We tried this about 2 years ago, he and I where the main "planners" he didn't show up, don't remember why, only 4 or 5 guys showed in Daytona beach, it was a parking meeting, maybe 30 minutes and gone......

I'm just south of Ocala, FL right now.

I don't have an HMT honda I do have my WRX which I upgraded all the turbo system, but I don't think it would be considered HMT. The only HMT in the car are all the zipties holding my bumper after taking off the support for the intercooler......

I would be willing to use my car as a project car if everyone would want to do a "kit" for the South. I can probably of course, provide the parts and tools, just need someone to do some chip burning and we are good to go. And we would need a welder(machine and person). Oh it's an 88 STD hatch with a B18b.

If you can tune or find a base map we can use, sure why not. We would have to plan this right and make it work. Of course I would need some time to get the parts, most of them Ebay specials of course.

I just put it out there to get together and do something fun. I have a cheap sears welder but I was never able to make it work right. It could be bad wire or the fact that I have no clue of what I'm doing when welding. Like I said, if people are willing to drive here and do this, I'm willing to let you guys rape the car. Well as long as I still have a car in the end and it doesn't fall appart......

Hey dude it wouldnt matter. We party our asses off and everyone is welcome. We BBQ and feed anyone from out of state that wants to eat with us. All you gotta remember at a LSU game is have a good time and remember to bring ear plugs.

sounds awesome. only problem is that i dont have a wideband, but im sure i could make a base map. i made mine

Re: HMT South

Well If we can make a group, at least from Florida there's a bunch of us, we have a car, and I think I can save up $500-$600 for a cheap turbo kit.

Let's make it happen. If we do plan it, I'll start buying parts, taking donations :y :8, and start checking the For Sales in here......

im in with my contribution of a laptop and chip burner

Re: HMT South

If you guys are doing this on your way to or from the Dragon, I'll lend verbal abuse and a wideband. :)

Scott-EP 11-07-2006 07:56 PM

Re: HMT South

i could use the wideband on my way up to the dragon since my tune is done by ear, reading the plugs, and the ass dyno.

i need to quit being a cheap ass and just buy one

davcivic 11-08-2006 07:42 AM

Re: HMT South

Well we need more interest from others to get the group going. I got the car and the money for the parts. Just need the group to meet and put it together.

You make it to the Dragon in the HMT South Bomb and I'll tune it.

Re: HMT South

I just purchased a cheap intercooler, so we better get something going. This is for real, I've been wanting to do a real HMT meet in Florida for years, but we never pull it off.

I'm ebay hunting for deals, or cheap crappy products, however you want to thing about this.

I'm tempted of trying an XS autoshit kit to see how long it lasts....Just those turbo prices are insane. I can get a ching chong meow turbo for $90...maybe worth to try it.

Come on bitches post up.

Tom-Guy 11-08-2006 10:49 AM

Don't expect a ching chong meow tubo to make it to the Dragon.

Re: HMT South

any miscellaneous small stuff like bov's and ---- i could prolly get together and maybe a nice rebuilt garret with some funky ass trims that is to small for the 3s its somthing like ar55 cold side 80hotside with a split inlet it came from a john deere to the best of my knowledge to small for the numbers wanted on the 3s I think but might do on a b series possibly a lil laggy though maybe someone could shed some light on that for me.

Tom-Guy 11-09-2006 11:56 AM

Re: HMT South

Is that the turbo with the fucked up looking turbine wheel?

davcivic 11-09-2006 12:16 PM

Re: HMT South

Cool stuff. If it works on the B maybe we can do something.

We have to start a list maybe of who can make it and who can do or bring what, set a date and do it.

I got the intercooler coming. I have to ask a friend that had some extra 450's today.

The big pieces to me are the Turbo and Manifold. If we can make that turbo work, cool, I can either pick up a manifold on ebay or on the for sales. plus all the other misc crap.
