HMT SOCAL Meet v.2.0 ***PICS*** 56K (get a real connection)

Update:

Before I get started on the story I would like to thank the following people.

Jeff and Everyone on HMT...

And these people especially

In order of appearance

Stealthmode (for hooking it up with the oil lines, and helping install most of the ----)

d16z64life and his cousin?(for helping out with the injectors and fuel lines and changing my oil and ----)

Bamboo7(for soldering the resistors and ghetto rigging the SAFC)<<<< and generally for not just sitting on his ass the whole time

Bamboo's girl (she's very entertaining... kept us bitches laughing....)

RENR and his homie??? (Installing the intercooler and reinforcing my charge pipes with JBweld)

My cousin Julio (I cant remember what he did... but he helped... he always helps)

Agent Murdoc (for gracing us with his presence and letting stevemode take out his frustrations on his $1000 RC car)

Bongnak (i dont know what he did... was too busy welding and beeing under the car to remember I think i was a little buzzed???)

My bro aka: LED_Squirter (for beeing there helping clean up a bit, and beeing a good host by hooking it up with some pizza

Subway(for feedin our hungry asses... subway got owned!!!!)

Anyways.... everyone got there pretty early... started to chat for a bit... then everyone got to work.... but as always theres always problems, the turbo didnt have a 1/8npt tap... so i had to go out and buy a tap and die.
got that fixed. mounted the turbo... and then the oil lines were installed, RENR his homie and my cousin were working on the intercooler... painted that ---- primer black... but then someone thought it would be a good idea spray paint eat my balls on it with white paint. I said ---- it just install it like that.... and it got installed... then the charge pipes were made by me and steve.... steve installed those... while bamboo was working on the SAFC, we wanted to see what it sounded like so we cranked it over... and the SAFC was on limp mode... and the engine was acting gay... so we shut it down... then me and steve proceeded to making a downpipe.... ---- downpipes are a lot of guesswork.... but steve had to leave before that sexy ass downpipe got made.... started the car... and there were no exhaust leaks... but the SAFC was still acting gay... finally it was 10PM and everyone was fixing to split so i just called it a day... Im gonna take tommorow off from work to fix this SAFC dillema... if that doesnt happen... hopefully me and bamboo can get the ECU socketed, and get a chip burned.....

It was fun hanging out with all of you guys.,... we should do it again under less stressful circumstances....

Thanks a lot, your help was greatly appreciated...

Dont worry for those of you that couldnt make it, we took a buttload of pictures... they should get posted up by tommorow.

ps... if anyone has a SAFC(blue screen) wired up to their 92-95 civic, can you please tell me your ECU pinout(what color cable on ECU in relation to what color cable on SAFC)
thanks....

I'm not sure if I'll make this one although the races sound fun. I need to do some maintenance to the hoopty if I want to be tking it out of town again. The radiator sprung a leak after the last trip and I haven't fixed it yet. We'll see...... :-\

EDIT: OK I just saw that it was next month. I might make it then. :)

Hey --------, where the hell were you for Danny's install? That was like 45 minutes away from you. >:( I drove like 4 hours and you couldn't drive 45 minutes? :(

It will be done on my driveway and not in the garage, for you see my family is mexican, and we either have someone living in the garage, or it has been converted into a personal self storage center.
::points finger at Danny and laughs:: :P

Re:HMT SOCAL Meet v.2.0

Actually, it just seems a little "irresponsible" to put all of this work into your car and then risk it in the streets. Especially when every Sat. you can do it legally at California Speedway like 10 min. from my house.
California is a little different than Washington. Here, if the dipshit your racing kills someone, you just committed murder. I'll wait for the track.
(Thanks for the comment though. :P) You gonna be at the wedding this weekend? lol

HMT-Admin 02-19-2004 02:16 AM

Re:HMT SOCAL Meet v.2.0

Yes, unfortunetly our local tracks dont offer "racing" at night, so we have to go out and the street and pull the 2fast2furious ---- baby 8) lol,

Steve, as much as I would love to come to your wedding and eat cake with you, I cannot... I do have to work and for some reason I dont think my car would even make it at this point. And how would I know I wouldnt get stood up again like last time! >:(

Every year I do a road trip, and I'll be down sometime spring/summer with my new engine in my car, and visit the so cal guys.... Maybe even Dr.Boost if he promises to use lotion next time with the hand job :-X
