Re: HMT Ontario 2007!!!, lets get some ideas going here.

Dibs - btw, Im Kevin

I really dont care for a "meet" cause I think theres enough of us to just meet more than once lol. But a set single day would be cool

Im personally re-doing some ---- on my car. Trying out some new shoot. Either way I'll have 3 cars so one will be running

Ive also got a smiley, fluxcore, tons of parts, motors, internals, turbos, pistons, intercooler and piping etc

As for location. I dont give a ----. Just keeping it a friendly meet is what I love. Nothing skethcy like what it feels like at the HT meets where your scared someones gonna follow you home and knowone barely talks

Looking forward

we usually have a good group of guys show up so if you got the garage I'm sure nothing would happen, would be neat to do it in the spring though instead of summer, this way the air is still cool and the cars will breathe better.

I would still rather stay away from installs and such this year, depends on what you guys wanna do, I say go out for a track day early spring or one of the CSCS events and set up an HMT tent and shoot the ----, have beer, work on cars doing small things, etc.

I didnt mind the whole install part of last year, i didnt to much but lend the odd hand since Im pretty leary of ------- up someone elses car for some reason.

Wouldnt mind doing it again and getting a little dirty if people actually HAD the parts. No scrounging through Josh's garage lookin for seconds to beg for ha

Andre's little install was cool, custom to ---- downpipe and such, and Im pretty sure he paid josh for his time so thats cool

Im down for anything anywhere

Yeah we had a few guys show up missing parts, this is why josh was kinda pissed and the night turned in to ---- for 4 of us because we had to pull an all nighter to get these cars done, this is why I say screw it to the install part, I just wanna meet up and chill and have fun, not worry about getting a car done on time and if it will run or not.

Have a track meet then, we can come back to my house for a BBQ since i probably live closer then anyone to a track.

W O T 01-16-2007 04:08 PM

Re: HMT Ontario 2007!!!, lets get some ideas going here.

That works for me, never been to the track, dunno if my car would pass tech though

I got a spunk load of new parts today, probably the most ive ever gotten in a day actually

And sent my turbos out for rebuild to blasst, hope they come back smoke free

Zeniceguycrx 01-16-2007 04:19 PM

Re: HMT Ontario 2007!!!, lets get some ideas going here.

I live 30min from the track but I live in a apt.
Im coming, rishi, joe, andrew, josh, maby a couple others
I will cruz with WOT so others can meet up aswell.

Last year was cool for the time I was there but did seem that josh got taken advantage of(not in a gay way)

If it is at the track I can work out better prices for us at toronto motersprts park. My last deal there got everyone in for 10$ each. also my shop isnt that far away so I will be able to help any breakdowns. anyone who goes to the track should be required to bring 2 extra axles though.

ariza034 01-16-2007 07:31 PM

Re: HMT Ontario 2007!!!, lets get some ideas going here.

i agree with zenice if you all go to the TO raceway bring extra axels every time i go up there i see 2-5 people break their axle :1

didnt you say this last time too? :P

i get my house in May, but its too small to do anything like this. Townhouse in the GTA FTL. oh well, better than renting.

Re: HMT Ontario 2007!!!, lets get some ideas going here.

what about mosport?
rent the track for the sat or sunday

Zeniceguycrx 01-16-2007 07:53 PM

Re: HMT Ontario 2007!!!, lets get some ideas going here.

or my buddy lives 10min from the track, we could all go to his house for a BBQ then drive to the track

Re: HMT Ontario 2007!!!, lets get some ideas going here.

how is the track on tech?

Zeniceguycrx 01-16-2007 10:18 PM

Re: HMT Ontario 2007!!!, lets get some ideas going here.

simple
battery bolted down?(we used a belt once)
kill switch if remote mounted batt
No leaking ----, if your leaking ---- your off the track

besides that there cool

W O T 01-16-2007 10:21 PM

Re: HMT Ontario 2007!!!, lets get some ideas going here.

I aint got no kill switch for my rear mount bqattery god damnit, dont think Martin does either

Zeniceguycrx 01-16-2007 10:24 PM

Re: HMT Ontario 2007!!!, lets get some ideas going here.

simple fix for tech

disconect the alt belt
put a stereo breaker on your ground wore and run it out your hatch
as soon as u brake the ground to the bat the car dies you pass tech
drive over to everyone else and conect your alt belt again and you good to go

That actually sounds like a good idea, its very close to Sparta dragway and friday night is test and tune(no tech either, no one gives a ----)

you have your own place Chris or you at your parents?

assh0l3 01-17-2007 08:22 AM

Re: HMT Ontario 2007!!!, lets get some ideas going here.

I like the mosport idea, but i think it would be pretty expensive to rent. If a few of us wanted to go to mosport the thing to do would be to to "double up" with another club. I know somone thats usually involved with organizing track days for VW and Audi guys, so mabey somthing like that would work.

Find out, but I doubt people would wanna drive up to 6 hours for a meet and then pay $100 if not more to rent a track for the day, you said it yourself, VW/Audo guys.
We're poor, half of us are in school and we drive civics with home made turbo systems, I doubt anyone would be willing to blow more than gas money and maybe a bit for food here and there.

I still say we hold a meeting at Spoonfed's place, the dragstrip is close, its $15/day instead of $100 and we could still work on small mechanical stuff, just not huge installs like we tried to pull off last year, that didnt go over so well trying to work on 3 cars at the same time, and after talking to Josh over some other matters I would also agree that he got of taken advantage of and so did his friend Jon, I did whatever I could when it came to fab work, mostly did the mechanical work.
At the end of the day everyone was tired and nothing got done, so for this year I'd like to stay away from installs and just have some fun, go for a cruise and to the dragstrip, have a barbacue and beer and eat (with clean hands) and not have to worry about the BS! Really.

EDIT: I'm going to contact the owners @ Sparta to see if they can get HMT a reduced rate perhaps.
