were changing the whole setup: running a drag mani with a 60/63 getting rid of the fmu and running uber. 2 1/2 inch ic piping cca fmic turbo xs bov then going with a 3 inch d/p and 2 1/2 exhaust

who said it was sleeved or filled ??? i think if bbk's hit 230 with a 60 /48 then i would think 60 /63 with 8 more punds can hit 300 .. 300 is not a goal or is anyone say'n it will hit it ..it would just be cool if we could get 300 out of it

who said it? noone did, that is why i said "i didn't see anywhere that the block was sleeved". you definatly wont hit 300, guaranteed. pistons n rods or not, .10 over n more boost with a lil turbo wont do it. didn't you see what happened to the guy that was tryin to top bbka with his sohc turbo? 15psi it went boom with his stock sleeves. yours are even weaker but ill let ur motor do its talking. |

yes.................. and turboda6 is a ------- moron is he thinks otherwise .. if someone's sleeve's took a ---- at 15psi it was a shitty tune .. i have seen several d-series with over 450 whp with stock sleeve's near stock bore

full race put 470 whp with stock sleeves at 22 psi on a gt35r ... im sure this can handle 16-18 with a uber tune and some c-16

blah blah blah.... im a moron, 450hp on a stock sleeve sohc when beau barely got about that on a filled b16... if you think ur gonna hit it then great, but til you do dont ------ argue about something you havent hit nor know what ur gonna hit. you have high hopes which leads to a hard letdown... let ur car do its talking... that way you dont feel stupid afterwards. shut people up with the numbers not ur mouth. or else im going to laugh harder then i already am. you wouldn't be getting the responses your getting if you only said "im aiming for 250 but we'll see what it hits" then everyone else woulda said something like "im sure you'll get more, but we'll see".... ur like buttsex, lets see if your a let down just like him

How do the pistons sound compared to stock (slap when warm/cold)? Also, what piston to wall clearance did you use?

slap isn't too bad just a lil more ticking then he's use too ... i think the clearance is .010's but i cant remember ..we cruised around for awhile got over 100 miles on her ... WOO WOO ;D

i'd do a compression check before you turbo it why.. 1. for a baseline to see any (if any) deterioration of compression over time. 2. The gap between the piston / sleeve looked pretty big in the first few pics. maybe it's just me, or the pic, but thought i'd mention it..

My $0.02 is that 300 whp would be easier to hit, and safer on the engine, if you stepped up to a bigger turbo. Tiny compressors blowing hot, and not being able to get all the hot exhaust out past a tiny turbine; pump in the heat and make sure you don't get rid of it. Now, if you are good and conservative with ignition and AFRs, and don't take a bunch of back to back pulls ie let the engine internals cool a bit between pulls she should be plenty reliable at the .60/.63's max output. Like everything, keep your eyes open. |

2. i really dont know but at the machine shop they asked if it was for a turbo car. so they could do a certain boring and honing that they have to do on a turbo car so i hope they did it right, i'm sure they did the've done all my machine work and i've never had a problem with them. |

i knew tuning was his problem. i also dont mean its virtually impossible to hit 300whp on stock sleeves, just not 100% reliable at that amount on an every day car. beau's b16 didn't like the 450whp very much and it wasn't a daily driver.
