The point I was making is that those quads are made in china with chineese grade, Hotrex aproved parts. They are sold as in and have maybe a 60 days warrenty if they guy is still there by the time your 60 days are up. Polaris quads are made in China yes, but I highly doubt they use Chineese grade internals. Polaris will back up their products against manufacturer defects on all their parts. The same cant be said for those Hotrex grade quads.
I wouldnt bet $800 on how long that ching chow meow quad will last. If you can wheel and deal $600 more will get you a quality quad that you wont have to woryy about having it fall apart as your 5 y.o is riding it.

it's the same internals and everything, we used to have to do warranty work for a shop that sold chingchong meow quads because we were the only place to get aeon parts at. and that shop went out of business. The only real problem we had with those 50's is the starter breaking when riders got the brushes wet then the kick start arm breaking from using it all the time. Never really had a problem with them that wasn't just pure user negligence. they're pretty solid.

I'm gonna go to a couple shops today to see if there's anything else good out there. I remember one of the shops had a really small one but they classified it as a "big boy" toy. We'll see about that.

Went to 3 different places and they all had the equivilent to the polaris sized one you have. Still too big for any kind of safe riding this year. He did fit on a ktm mini50 adventure, but he's been hoopin and hollarin about 4 wheelers lately, so I'm not trying to buy him something just because it's about his size.
I might end up making him a gokart or something. Who fucken knows.

go kart for ------- sure. you can take go karts in any direction lol. Ive had one we made with a gsxr 600... fast as ----. one with a chainsaw motor lol.. one with shocks and more suspension travel than most trucks.
All ridin by 5-7 year olds, cept the gsxr kart.. ---- that, it scared me lol, no kid is riding that thing ever.
I wonder how hard it would be to make one for like a b16 or something?? I should give it a shot. It would be more of a buggy though for all that weight in the back.

B-series would be a bitch, the shift linkage would cause a lot of head aches. cable shifters make it a lot easier. go get an old f-series accord motor throw some side draughts on it and get an LSD trans
