not unlikely very likely, why would a hacker get on the internet with there own ip? thats just askin to get caught.

if he ddos attacked then there isnt a way you can trace his ip unless you find the server the ddos bots are onto, you recorded ip's of all the infected computers not his.

what if someone some how went through and found the user's on the forum who were less active and found out there ip addy's and "masked" them and attacked HMT that way
