actual the actual firearm is garbage too.

its very inaccurate, there are much better rifles for personal use.

the ak you buy is not for "battle" use. and is not even going to be a real ak since it will be semi-automatic and probably made in china

mini30 is about 600 dollars

my mini14 was 500.

both are far superior compared to a ak or sks. but more expensive.

ill have to consider buying one of those instead i guess, main reason i went with the sks is because you cant beat 200$ for a gun haha. but ya if im going to be spending 400$ might as well look into a mini for 500-600$. still probibly get a ak47 for keep sakes and collecting. farther down the road though if i get a mini. im guessing everyone will post pictures of there newely bought guns when they get them

i agree, im saying that the design of the firearm is good. not the quality of the build. look at the galil. its an improved ak-47 basically and that is one of the best assault rifles i have ever shot.

you made a blanket statement about the gun. im just pointing holes in the blanket. and once again the build quality, not the actual firearm design.
they are cheaply made guns for a reason.

i shot fairly well with my dads, if you fire one round at a time it will hit what your aiming at. i dont like the sights.

of course its more of a spray 'n pray gun for ------s in africa.

You must be ------ high. Both the Mini 14's and 30's are more accurate in ejected shell casings 20yrds than they are putting rounds down range.

I can build an AK that is far more accurate and cheaper than a Mini 30.

IF you want something in 223, get an AR.
IF you want something in 7.62 Russian, get an AK or AR with a 7.62x39 upper.

Anyway, I'm getting a RRA Predator Pursuit upper for one of my billet AR lowers.

Re: hmt call to arms!!!

One of the main reasons for this popularity is the Mini-14's surprising accuracy. Even with the coarse-adjustment, military-peep-style rear sights of the standard Mini-14, most shooters produce groups of about 3.5 inches at 100 yards, which is certainly functional considering one click of adjustment on the sights moves the point of impact about 1.5 inches at that range. And, considering the flat trajectory of the .223 cartridge, a 200-yard zero with those standard sights will give you an eight-inch impact circle at anywhere from 50 to 300 yards.
