How in the ---- can you dubt it Home made (as in at home- as in not some ****** spending as much on a Greddy kit as I did my Built H22)... This thread needs a rope as does the original poster. I dont really feel I need to defend my HMT setups that far, as I think they speak for themselves, The site's name isnt ------ rigged turbo (although that does fall under the HMT umbrella IMHO). There are a couple ghetto setups about to come down the pike here out of us anyways...

Anyway you maker power is good in my book.... But to someone who doesnt think the Accord is an HMT setup, they should go see how much some HT ****** would have payed to get it done, and then layed the results over what it cost me/us doing it ourselves....

This is only my third Setup, The LSX powered 64 nova should be intertesting too.... But, I guess that wont be HMT either since its going to be clean.....right?

Rope.....

The anti ******.

thats what i was saying. The site isn't called Chrapturbo.com or cheaplymadeturbo.com . That accord is wicked and you can't fault someone or us for that matter for using the parts and technology out there to make these cars run better and be faster. Believe i use to work at a performance shop and seeing what people would spend on crap when they could save so much money if they'd just do their research and do things their self they'd save so much more money. My buddies project car was just finished last year running a fully built LS/VTec T4 hot side 60-1 cold side ( sameturbo on my car ) running Uberdata in a 92' civic coupe on rota slip streams on slicks went 10.20's in the 1/4. We did 100% all the work our selves made all the intercooler piping from scratch welded and build the motor ourselves and exhaust. spent maybe $200 for the dyno to tune it and at the end of the project we spent maybe $2,000 dollars total for everything we only got one run out of it before we were kicked off the track for not having a cage inside the car. a peak boost and turbonetics turbo kits cost atleast $3000 just for the kit thats not even including the engine management. We've all come along way from civic and crx's with ZC's in them to when i think his name was Baue was one of the first on here to start doing turbo motor swaps doing B16's and LS/VTec's and making serious HP doing everything himself with some others help. before it ws all hondas now you guys have many different cars on here each different in their own way but all have the same thing in common they were built with HMT lovin. i just think and you can say i'm wrong if i am but HMT is about doin it yourself and not going with something someone else has made for you and it doesn't have to look ghetto or rigged like 9 years ago when you all started this web site. like i said in the begining it's called Homemadeturbo everyone may have their own definition on what that means but it's definitly not called cheaplymadeturbo.com or has to be crap.com or lookcheapandghetto.com. that accord is a prime example of what it's about no matter how much it cost to build it looks good and clean was done from scratch basicly and makes some serious horse power.

i'm starting to think some of you are getting the wrong idea when you hear the words "cheap" and "homemade". just because it is cheap or a HMT kit does not mean that it has to be a HF mani or look like complete ----. it just means finding the best deals on parts and not going after the blinging chrome front mount lol. HMT has always been function over form regardless what anybody says, but not to the point you would be embarresed to pop your hood lol.

for the record, JB Weld is still the jizm of the gods

JB weld is the best thing that and zip ties and maybe duct tape. Th qoute above is right. It's alot of people that don't put the time and effort to read and learn about how a turbo works what fuel is all about and ignition timing air fuel ratio's. they see turbo's in movies and video games and hear them on the street and like they way they sound and they just want it for that cool paul walker sound. most of them probally have no jobs mom and dad buy them a modified car and they don't want to put to the time and effort into everything and know what they're doing and how everything must work together in harmony to have a good running car. i hear and see so many young'ins say nitrous superchargers turbo's etc. suck and complain about how they blew there motor up. Well buddy you can't run 15PSI of boost or a 100 shot of nitrous on stock ignition and pump and injectors
