Yeah, a real MP5 is a restricted firearm in canada, any automatic gun is, plus, through the airsoft forums and such, I got to know a few guys that have these and play just like you play paintball, you dont think I'm going to shoot at them with a real MP5, lol.

I just got the legal part over with and found a company that ships the real looking guns to canada, so there is no more trouble, I simply just order online and it gets shipped to my door.

I've wanted an mp5 for a while now. I was looking into them more and browsing some forums and you have to actually spend some $$ so the gears don't strip and other crap doesn't break. Besides looking way cool there pointless if you don't have land/people to play with. So i just took that $ and bought some more tools and a laptop. ^-^

These places sell some good guns

Yeah I wish I had a purpose to own an MP5 like that, but in canada if its automatic its restricted or prohibited, for example the AK47 is prohibited in canada.

I would buy the MP5 from Shorty USA, because its the almost exact metal frame replica of the expensive TM guns and at a fraction of the cost, here is the internals of the MP5 mentioned, it was tested by a few guys in the site and it is very durable.

Electric (External???) is the way to go and is the way 90% of the airsoft community goes accoring to the website.
the advantages are:

Only requires batteries
Batteries are cheaper than air packs
the guns are cheaper to produce
the mechanism is simpler
More Hop up parts

The dissadvantages:
Less FPS (but that dont matter since alot of the time you dont really want to break skin, its just for fun)

Yeah in the states airsoft is taking over paintball since the guns there are legal in pretty much all states, its in canada too(excuse me for not searching before making this post) but its not as popular as paintball yet, I would hope that in the near future airsoft will be more popular than paintball because its more realistic, you dont have to carry around big dime sized balls, the clips come out and go in like real guns and its overall a much funner experience.

No, I just like to watch over my ass when I think something may be illegal, but since I have done hours of reading today regarding laws in canada I am that much less of an idiot than you think.

automatic as even semi-automatic?

not all ak47s are fully automatic

Re: HMT Airsoft Gun Thread, Legal or not? lets get some opinions.

yeah but in terms of a real weapon, it is illegal here because its designed with the porpose to kill, most canadian firearms that are obtainable by the public are designed for shooting beavers.

Dont ask why but these are the laws here regarding real firearms, as with Airsoft, its fully legal for anyone over the age of 18 to posses, transport and use as long as precautions are taken and the firearm is used in a proper manner where no animal or person is in danger.

I read sections and sections of this ---- today, I almost feel dumb with the amount of Government bullshit that is stuck in my head right now.

You can get semi auto ARs in canada. And i'm not talking about faggot ass Air soft. In korea the only people who own airsoft guns are 9 year old kids.

Yeah you can get whatever is not on the restricted or prohibited list, as for 9 year olds, yeah probably, the laws there are different. and if youre saying that to call me a kid then you should go say it to the thousands of people that play the sport of airsoft. That is just like saying paintball is for kids, lol.

and once again, I want an Airsoft rifle, why would I want the real thing? I am not planning on killing people :-\ just wanna have some outdoor fun and get excersize and shoot the ---- with others in the hobby. so ---- off if you dont have nothing mature to say.
