HMT Airsoft Gun Thread, Legal or not? lets get some opinions.

I would like to know who lives close to ontario Canada, I want to buy an airsoft rifle for my brother and due to canadian laws, I cannot get the real looking ones, just clear, so I need to ship somewhere to the states to someone that wont steal from me, and then I would come and pick the gun up.
Steve, how many hours are you from Ontario, if anything I would come down for the day, tell them i'm visiting an old friend (You) and I would pack my car full of guns and then drive back to canada during the night. >:D

Its cheaper than getting a clear one sent then messing it up by painting it.

Now I need to know who lives close to me.

Point is guys that if customs sees a black airsoft MP5 that looks real they will sieze it.

Speaking of Airsoft, wow this is ------- cool, guys built an Airsoft Sentry gun, there is a vid in here too, I could use one of these to protect my room from my brother or the cats ;D

what if they x ray the box. an airsoft gun would look almost like the real deal. besides the plastic allowing more radiation through and appearing clearer.

Re: Need to ship to states and pickup.

Any gun shape will cease shipping in to canada, All I want is to pickup the gun, or 2, put them in the foam under my seat in the rear and get them home where I will put them to use on my little brother, neighbours cats and so on :P I really would like to pick these up because A its safer across the boarder and B its cheaper on shipping. plus most places wont ship to canada.

what kind of gun do you want? have you done any research on them? I have an ICS/AE mp5sd6, and I love it. its all metal, and it shoots like 300 FPS. you wont be shooting one of these at people tho, it will draw blood at close range, and if you shoot in the house, you will have holes in the drywall. check out www.airsplat.com they have good deals on guns. the new ICS m4 is really nice, Classic army g36's are the ------- bombizzle, check them out.

Yes I've done plenty of Research on these, I want a good quality entry level rifle, I was going to go with the TM MP5 but its 200 bux US, and the new UTG MP5 just came out not too long ago, its exactly like the TM , all metal, full cast metal gears and its about 100 cheaper. so yeah, i'd like this one as i'm just getting in to the sport. I ------- hate living in canada, them and their stupid laws.

Yeah, a real MP5 is a restricted firearm in canada, any automatic gun is, plus, through the airsoft forums and such, I got to know a few guys that have these and play just like you play paintball, you dont think I'm going to shoot at them with a real MP5, lol.

I just got the legal part over with and found a company that ships the real looking guns to canada, so there is no more trouble, I simply just order online and it gets shipped to my door.

I've wanted an mp5 for a while now. I was looking into them more and browsing some forums and you have to actually spend some $$ so the gears don't strip and other crap doesn't break. Besides looking way cool there pointless if you don't have land/people to play with. So i just took that $ and bought some more tools and a laptop. ^-^

These places sell some good guns

Yeah I wish I had a purpose to own an MP5 like that, but in canada if its automatic its restricted or prohibited, for example the AK47 is prohibited in canada.

I would buy the MP5 from Shorty USA, because its the almost exact metal frame replica of the expensive TM guns and at a fraction of the cost, here is the internals of the MP5 mentioned, it was tested by a few guys in the site and it is very durable.

Electric (External???) is the way to go and is the way 90% of the airsoft community goes accoring to the website.
the advantages are:

Only requires batteries
Batteries are cheaper than air packs
the guns are cheaper to produce
the mechanism is simpler
More Hop up parts

The dissadvantages:
Less FPS (but that dont matter since alot of the time you dont really want to break skin, its just for fun)

Yeah in the states airsoft is taking over paintball since the guns there are legal in pretty much all states, its in canada too(excuse me for not searching before making this post) but its not as popular as paintball yet, I would hope that in the near future airsoft will be more popular than paintball because its more realistic, you dont have to carry around big dime sized balls, the clips come out and go in like real guns and its overall a much funner experience.

No, I just like to watch over my ass when I think something may be illegal, but since I have done hours of reading today regarding laws in canada I am that much less of an idiot than you think.

automatic as even semi-automatic?

not all ak47s are fully automatic

Re: HMT Airsoft Gun Thread, Legal or not? lets get some opinions.

yeah but in terms of a real weapon, it is illegal here because its designed with the porpose to kill, most canadian firearms that are obtainable by the public are designed for shooting beavers.

Dont ask why but these are the laws here regarding real firearms, as with Airsoft, its fully legal for anyone over the age of 18 to posses, transport and use as long as precautions are taken and the firearm is used in a proper manner where no animal or person is in danger.

I read sections and sections of this ---- today, I almost feel dumb with the amount of Government bullshit that is stuck in my head right now.

Yeah you can get whatever is not on the restricted or prohibited list, as for 9 year olds, yeah probably, the laws there are different. and if youre saying that to call me a kid then you should go say it to the thousands of people that play the sport of airsoft. That is just like saying paintball is for kids, lol.

and once again, I want an Airsoft rifle, why would I want the real thing? I am not planning on killing people :-\ just wanna have some outdoor fun and get excersize and shoot the ---- with others in the hobby. so ---- off if you dont have nothing mature to say.

Re: HMT Airsoft Gun Thread, Legal or not? lets get some opinions.

Airsoft is fun, when it's played like paintball. Just stay away from those wanna be military fags. The last time I tried to play they did the military sim crap with objectives to do. Lots of walking very little shooting. Then the wanna be fags are trying to give out orders. ---- that. I'd be in the marines if I liked that.

I would suggest getting a tokyo marui one, those are the best out there. I have an airsoft elite mp5, thing shoots ------- hard, breaks skin no problem. The AE is only okay though, mine has broke a few times. For how much this ---- costs, there is no way I would do it again. I spent like 400 bucks on all that ---- years ago.

Anyways all my ---- just sits in the closet. I've out grown the need for such toys. I am going to bust it out and shoot some animals in the back yard though >:D Then probly try to sell it if it all still works good.

Ok, I still need someone close to ontario that I can use to ship this to their house, the company I ordered from dosnt want to send to canada for some reason because they were getting problems.

There is a big difference in what you might consider an airsoft gun and what some do, I agree, there are shitty non realistic ones but then there are real looking ones made out of metal and composite that fire at 230+ fps and at a rate of 700 rounds a minute, now thoes are the ones I am looking at, the sport is getting more popular and I want in on the fun too.

They dont sell them at walmart here, the only ones you can buy are fake looking non replica's that are clear plastic. they are really ---- about guns here.
