my car kept up with a mr until the end of third using a t3@10psi. i think you could keep up as long as you have traction, if not fugget abou it

the guy who i sold my car to raced a lot of stock evos. he said the evo always jumps up front in first gear then he just pass them when they go on second gear.(t3/04e in a civic at 10psi)

It is true that AWD cars will seem slower on top end, but a lot of times it's because people can't drive them.
Not too long ago, maybe 2 weeks ago, I raced a slightly modded z28 the last style, maybe 93-94. On third already doing 60mph or so. If you know how to drive ;) you will pull ahead, if not then you should be driving an AWD car. It will come down to driver skills, but the EVO has a better chance of smoking you than anything else.
