i dont shoot it as often as i would like cause i can only get the ammo through a friend of the family and i dont see him very often. i have heard from alot of people that shoot them to be weary about shooting newer ammunition through them due to it possibly burning up the barrel. you have to figure, these things were ment to shoot ammo that was manufactured almost a century ago. i have heard i can reload the ammo but i do not have the proper dies. i mostly reload pistol ammo too, and i dont fee like swapping everything around just to reload a few rounds for a gun that i dont shoot to often. |

Well, the bottom line is, i would have paid a couple hundred more for my highpoint. The only ammo it wont load is makorov 9mm and thats some super short ----. Is a great gun and worth more than i paid for it.

i own a hi point .45 and i like it alot for a gun around the house, it got very minimal kick, but its pretty big. i have heard of issues with misfires but mine has had 400+ rounds and never misfired. for the money you cant go wrong. i wouldnt buy the hi point for carry but good for the house or birds or thieves. i will say the gun is completely different with aluminum case vs brass. in mine al least,brass shoot much better. and the hipoint warranty is better than any other company, pay for shipping and even if you drop it off a building i have been told they will replace parts damaged.
