dont generalize all vietnamese or all of vietnam into this its the (Democratic) Socialist Republic of Vietnam, victor charlies, viet congs...

my dad fought in the south vietnamese army w/ the US and when the US pulled out he was fucked and had flee vietnam by himself leaving all family and friends behind and seeked refuge in thailand/ stayed in thailand as a refugee for a yr before he made his way to the US.

my mom's family fled the same way, had leave all belongs, property, and some unfornate family members behind and seeked refuge in malaysia and made it to US after a few months. just to get an idea of how it was like to be a refugee my mom's neice was trampled by a herd of crazy refuges when she was gettin on the boat to flee vietnam.

south east asian politics is all fucked up and things are so bad there im thankful my mom and pops made the decision to wait to get to america or else i might have been an aussie or a ----- frenchy.

the U.S. left the south vietnamese army, hmongs, etc high and dry to be fucked over. when the US departed the south vietnamese army was no longer in existance as most of the force dispersed or fled.
