Im thinking slight change of plan and drop in the d16 twin cam engine, get the ecu chipped then go turbo. Thoughts and opinions purlease? We're still chopping and changing the plans as we go so I figure if there's wiring to be done for the MPFI then we might as well drop the 1.6 in from maybe a 90 crx? Now from what I understand that keeps the car OBD0 which limits the tuning software I can use?

rar, so much to figure out before even getting my hands on shiney bits :(

What engine are you refering to? You say a 1.6L 16V engine, '90 crx 1.6 (d16a6) then you say d16 dohc...

And you don't need a romulator. Get a Moates chip burner for $85 or a Willem for $50 if you're really on a budget.

He's in Ireland. They have the d16a9 over there, which for all intents and purposes, is a 1.6 DOHC ZC. If you can lay your hands on one of those for around the equiv of $500 US or so, I'd just drop it in. It's a much better platform and arguably the best D series engine available. Sell the AFC on ebay and buy an OBD1 conversion harness and a ECU from Xenocron and run Crome. Obviously, you can get one anywhere, but Chris really knows his ---- and will help you more than anyone off ebay or wherever you end up going. I use a Willem enhanced burner and have no problems with it, nor will you provided a semblance of literacy and a good dose of RTFM! ;D Go with the Moates if you don't have a laptop with a parallel port though. I'd also recommend a .50 trim T3 if you get that engine. A 42/48 or a 60/48 both of which are readily available JY turbo's and have good maps for that engine.
