Hello (introduction)

Hi everyone,

first post, thought I'd say hi. Been on the site for a while just reading up on stuph and decided to take the plunge :)

I've got myself a cheapassed 1.5LSi (think thats equiv. to a DX for you USA folkes) and have the following plans:

DPFI->MPFI upgrade + T25/T28 probably using the 'AFC HACK' for fueling.

No idea what problems im going to run into but no doubt ill be searching the hell outta here to get the answers!

Will try and get some pics up of the car and let you all have a laff later.

Pete

t25 and t28 are small but for your first time i guess its alright. and just like sinister said IF you can get tuned on crome.

Ah yes, I want the chipped ECU but the AFC is costing me nowt as its sitting in its box in my room :) Chipped ecu can come later after the outlay for turbo/lines etc. If i didnt have to swap from DPFI to MPFI i'd probably have a better base but the car was about to get junked and a tiny voice in my mind said "no, save this care. Fill its life with joy, fresh air and pleanty of PSI" and I agreed with it!

hokay,

quick update on this one then. The MPFI Swap, is it worth it or should I try and get a 1.6/16v (d16a9 i think it is) engine and start from there?

Also can anyone recommend a cheap way to get new roms burned and some tuning done with a chipped ECU? All the stuph i've found (romulaters etc.) seem to cost mega bucks!

Im thinking slight change of plan and drop in the d16 twin cam engine, get the ecu chipped then go turbo. Thoughts and opinions purlease? We're still chopping and changing the plans as we go so I figure if there's wiring to be done for the MPFI then we might as well drop the 1.6 in from maybe a 90 crx? Now from what I understand that keeps the car OBD0 which limits the tuning software I can use?

rar, so much to figure out before even getting my hands on shiney bits :(
