having car painted??? color change...opinions?

well i REALLY want a white hatch...and i want to start with a clean car. my search has found me lots of red, some phantom grey, and acouple white ones...

two problems with the white cars...
1: too ------ expensive (already modded)
2: ------ pieces of ----

so i have come up with an idea, but im not sure if i like it... i can just have the car repainted. you can pick up a car wiht shitty paint (white, black, grey...not red or green), but still strait, for a little cheaper...

but can i get a clean paint job for the difference in price? thinking around 1000bucks... wouldnt need the interior ---- painted. was gonna spray the jams and ---- with the same color paint as i paint the car (Frost or Championship white) with custom mixed paint from NAPA in rattle cans (base coat paint)......

anyway, im i stretching too far here? or am i having a good idea?....

I think $1000 is definatley do-able. The only thing is what about the engine bay?

If you are going to pull the motor and do the engine bay then i think it is doable.$1000 is tight budget but if you do some prep that would help.

Just to get a Idea i spent about $400 to paint job on my crx. Of course i didnt pay my dad to paint it ;) but all the little stuff u have to buy adds up. I also wanted a white car but found a cheap red one and I think its just way too much work to change the color. unless ur doing the work yourself or have a good hook up its better just to pay extra for a clean white car :-\

Jung4g did it gangster and we did the whole car in rustoleum with harbor freight spray guns. I still think you could do the jams and then get a nice job for $1000. (paint the by with black spray)

personally my favorite colors on a car is black and silver...i think if you want everything to look clean either paint everything or best if your lazy like i would be is to buy a car with the color you like.

100% hold out for a white hatch, saves you so much work and trouble

Color changes are very expensive, very time consuming and what do you and people actually see, the jams and the engine bay....

Id definetely hold out for a white car to begin with
