Unforunatly buying a handgun isn't as simple as simple as APC vs. Parabellum or Glock vs. S&W. Guns are like clothing. you wouldn't buy a XXXL Versaci suit to work on your car if you stood 5'2" and weighed 100 soaking wet. so why would you buy DE 50 cal to protct yourself while driving in your car. Buy a gun that fits comfortable in your hand first, then decide on what would be practical for your situation .50 .45 .44 and .357 are nice and all but rounds are expensive and if your a small frame person you wont be able to carry them comfortably. sure you can get a compact .45 but did you ever shoot a high calibre compact? I've heard the best all round gun to own for target practice and carry/conceal is the .40, packing 5 oz. of lead with less kickback than a .45, I personaly would rather carry my nine with staggerd loudout of hydra, hydra ,full jacket, full jacket, full jacket, hydra, hydra hydra, full jacket, full jacket cause hydra-shok won't go through car doors. By the way does anyone know if hydra shok's were part of the recently lifted ban? Hope I didn't piss anyone of on my first post.

P.S. mattnteclipse you know you can get a 12 g. attachment for the M4 similar to the M4/203 setup right?

there's something called a bulldog or some ---- like that that's a snubnose revolver and can shoot .45 cal or 410 shells.

The last time I went shooting was at a friend of mines farm where they have a shooting range with steel targets. My buddy was shooting a 9mm I was shooting a .357 and another guy was shooting a .45. The 9mm made small dents in the 1/4" steel plates the .45 made realy big dents, the .357 made realy big holes. He wont let me shoot his targets anymore. Dont get the ----- ass .9mm get a mans guy. A .45 or a .357 is the only way to go.

Re: Handgun buyin time

before you go complaining about ammo prices, learn to reload yourself.

9.8 gr of Blue Dot, .357 mag (bullet is .38" in diameter) exits my S&W 686 at 1020 fps, just below the speed of sound so the bullet is not disrupted.

At 100 yards my pistol with a scope will knock the centers out shooting clays sitting on the dirt backstop, mostly due to the handload.

Tuning a handload to a particular gun is like tuning a car/ecu, no 2 are alike.

30/30 lever action, factory load vs. handload at 100 yards..........
