Handgun buyin time

Im on the verge of the big 21 and after i get really drunk for a week or so i plan to buy a handgun. im kinda split up between 3 or 4 guns that ive had my eyes on for awhile. need a little input from anyone whos had experiience with em.

Ivehad my eye on a 45 for a couple years now since i shot my friends springfield 1911a1 .45 that built exactly like a colt version, just feels way better. I like this gun cause its real smooth and has some put down power.
http://rds.yahoo.com/S=96062883/K=sp...ngfield_7a.jpg
Also have the chance to pick up a norinco 45 also a copy of colt. from what ive been told there hard to get ahold of since there made in some asian country bush senior blocked trade with.
http://rds.yahoo.com/S=96062883/K=no...co_1911-A1.jpg

another gun ive been lookin at is the glock 19 9mm. Ive shot one of these to and its a pretty good sized gun and real easy to shoot not to mention glocks are durable as ----.
http://rds.yahoo.com/S=96062883/K=gl...es/glock19.jpg

Not really a big fan of revolvers but ive got to hold one of these and seen it fired. nice little gun.
http://rds.yahoo.com/S=96062883/K=sm...n44special.jpg
Only seen and held a berreta once but it felt really comfortable. Pretty nice italian gun. any own or have experince with one of these? i hear there nice and i know millitary loves them.

and prolly the farthest one in price is the h&k p10.

eh and why not

let me know you guys opinion cause i figure those whove owned or had experience are the best advice givers.

Re: Handgun buyin time

i would get a glock if i could own one over here. i want one real bad. so thats my $.02. a revolver would be bad ass to, but if your wanting something for "self defense" I would go with the glock. im no gun "expert" but from what ive read/heard, a glock is just the way to go.

Re: Handgun buyin time

I'd pick the glock because it's all black, and therefore, more stealth. O0

If you're planning on carrying it around town waiting for someone to mouth off to you, than don't buy one tough guy. 8)

Re: Handgun buyin time

i herd that the glock jams alot? and thi9s came from a marine :/ i have never personaly shot a glock. but the others i think i have. and i have always like the colt .45.

Re: Handgun buyin time

i have a glock...lightweight and ---- the recoil doesnt kick that bad. go glock or berretta 92f expensive though...and no they dont jam alot....just every once in a while 8)

Re: Handgun buyin time

if you're looking for something to defend you house/property with I'd go with a 12 gauge or a keltec sub2000... the keltecs are basically long barreled glocks but have alot more stopping power and are easy as hell to aim with the stock. folds in half, fits in drawer, lightweight, *cough* full auto mods. it's a real pdw.

Re: Handgun buyin time

I have a stubnose 357. I like it alot. It fits under the set up my EF and if it jams, I can always hit them with it.

mattnteclipse 07-08-2005 05:34 PM

Re: Handgun buyin time

yeah the glock 19 can be made to a glock 18. but id never do that cause its illegal >:D. I like to go ut to the range with to. so far im leanin toward the .45, unless i find a good deal on a glock.

Re: Handgun buyin time

if i were to buy a gun it woudl abe a 22 magnum, 22, or a .25, the rounds are cheap, fun ass gun, no recoil, so if youre clappin at someone or something there isnt a recoil to put your gun off aim. give me a deuce deuce in a firefight anyday. and anyone that thinks a 22 isnt a real bullet needs to take one in the side and tell me that.

Re: Handgun buyin time

glocks are lame, they are the hype r of handguns because every stupid nignog raps about a glock

i have a HK USP .40 s&w and i love it my best handgun

i have a beretta and a 1911 as far as autos go... and they are all superb weapons.

Hk USP best choice though.

dont listen to these stupid fucks, what 45 jams a lot? certainly you are not talking about the 1911. a 22LR is pointless for anything other than target shooting or plunking.

if you want a pistol for protection get a 9mm auto with a big clip.

in anyother case i would get a full sized Hk usp in .45 or .40s&w.

here's the keltec:
http://securityarms.com/20010315/gal.../2400/2455.htm

I had one but sold it because I kept wanting to shoot someone just to see what would happen.

they use glock clips so if you go preban that's alot of ammo, thing is it punches like a .357 magnum because of the added barrel length... and no I'm not accepting any comments about this.

im thinkin about getting a ruger 10 - 22, and a preban 30 or 40 round clip, can we say machine gun? haha, well i have to get rid of this stupid restraining order first, keeps me away from firearms for 3 years >:(

stop saying preban

the BAN HAS SUNSETTED. there is no ban on high capacity clips now.

i have two 10-22s and they are fun. you will not have fun loading a 30 or 40 round clip

25 round clips are enough you will get bored pulling the trigger that many times and then loading the clip agian.
