It's the best yet by far. It's similar looking to Halo 2 but slightly better graphics and a ton of new features :6

I'd say half of the maps are wide open and half are close quarters death traps, have you played them all?

nahh i put it in for about an hour then got sick of it real fast... i really want cod 4. maybe its because its just all future style ----.. i really like realistic ---- like vegas cod 2/3/4, ghost recon.. yadda yadda

I'm not a gamer, but is that game really that adicitive. My son plays it 2-3 hours a day if not longer, and if not that hes playin
poker. He's like a staff sgt or something. I'm not sure of his name, Vapor???

me and my bro play constantly. usually we play under LostGamersRUs, on occasion though ill play under mine which is DrunkGamersRUs. but jago i could have swore you are on my list already? i know sdrawcrab is. as well as a few other HMT folks.

Jorsher (gamertag) hopped all up on teh haloz 3 for the first time today on a friend's username.

Never was last place although I didn't know what the ---- was up with the maps, didn't know where weapons on, didn't know "x" doesn't reload....uhhh basically didn't know jack ----.

2nd game I got my first sniper kills (17 that round :6), my first couple halo 3 triples and doubles, and a 7 kill spree. Was pretty proud of myself after only game two and still not knowing ----.

Fun game, will look forward to picking it up later.

I have a copy I've already put money down on, just need to finish paying and pick it up.

What I'm waiting on is deciding whether or not I want to buy a 2nd 360 after the last one was stolen. Then I'd need a TV too...which would be another $1600 for the 60" 1080p plasmizzle I want... So I'd be spending around $2000.

I'll put it off for a while, no time for halo anywho :(

roflcopter, appreciate the concern, but:

Dude, I used a 50" plasma, older model, crappier brand, for well over 6 months, solely for gaming, and NEVER had any issues. Sure, when the screen blacks out you will still barely be able to see previous image, but it never did any permanent damage. The only models I've seen sold at LG to employees with "burnin" were from watching analog tv where bars were placed around the edges, and on black screens you could see where the center of the tv was a little less black than the bars around the edges. Some broadcast with grey bars around the sides, which is annoying, but I guess is to somewhat equalize the "wear" on the plasma panel.

This is 60" with 2007 model "image enhancing" filters, 1080p resolution, and from a good display company (LG), along with a bunch of "anti-burnin" features. I'm not worried in the least. Also, as soon as I get a cabinet built for the projector, I'll have a 120" LCD image of the "crappy" 720p quality.

Plasma WILL burn in after sitting at the SAME screen for a LONG time. They use plasmas at work to display statistics for the day, and there is finally burnin after years of use. The only reason people are warned about playing games on them is so that the manufacturer doesn't get their asses sued if there's a game that happens to have a stationary picture that never is cleared, and the buyer that sits their ass at home all day playing the game doesn't bitch after there's a shadow of the image after a 10 hour long fragfest.

Regardless, I get these cheap enough that even if it had some burnin (which it won't), I could still sell it for more than I paid and buy a better, newer, bigger tv to replace it.

at work, most customer complaints about plasma is burn in of the black bars that u ge from watching anything in 4:3 format or the widescreen bars since they dont move at all. Once the screen is damaged, when it fills up the colors change in the extremities where the bar were located.

Exactly what I was saying above. The only burnin I ever see is from the 4:3 ---- having bars around the edge. Gaming is not an issue, and if you're afraid of it than you're a ----- :6

Regardless, there's some new HDTV FTA receivers, I have an HD-DVD drive, and rarely use the TV for anything other than movies or games...both of which will be in full 16:9 720/1080p.

I think obviously the graphics are better but just like forza motorsport2 they take out more than half the good ---- and replace it with bull ----. Like all good maps on both games no longer can you duel weild needler half the honda motorswaps are gone and your force to awd 240 when you swap rb's into them the sould leave ---- alone and just add new ---- to it

I have played on a LCD, Plasma, and DLP ( all of which I bought from Jorsher :6 ). The plasma is so clean and burn in isn't crap.

We ended up getting a full 1080p widescreen lcd panel by the way, off of ebay for $90 ;)

Nice deal :P I'll have to look into that. For now I'll use one of the panels strewn about my apartment, and after the case is built, it would be very simple to swap to a different panel :)

No controller board, but we bought one that works off of this guy from the lumenlabs forum. The panel is the 15.4" widescreen, we got a projector with an extra large stage (16"x16") and we're just going to tape off the overhang.

Yea just got the projector in the mail, we have the screen sans controller board, and that bitch literally takes up the entire wall. Like it's a good ~15x9ft viewing area. Its silly large :S

meh so you're just gonna use a regular overhead projector? I'm sure you already know this, but just in case you don't, make sure you use something to raise the panel off the overhead, and make sure you keep the panel nice and cool. Would suck to destroy the 1080p panel with some heat.
