So i'm about to order this gun, why I really dont know. I had a taurs 24/7 that I sold for profit last summer and really miss having a gun. really like the .22lr, save some dough on ammo, and I'll end up buying a pistiol in 45 cal maybe a 9 in the summer, any opinons?

The GSG-5 is a semi-automatic rifle chambered for the .22 Long Rifle cartridge. It is built by German Sport Guns GmbH, an airsoft wholesaler located in Ense-Höingen, Germany.

Although the rifle externally resembles the Heckler & Koch MP5 submachinegun, none of the parts are interchangeable. However, many airsoft MP5 accessories may be used on the GSG-5.

The GSG-5 was unveiled at the IWA & Outdoor Classics trade show in March 2007 following the legalization of previously-forbidden military-style weapons in Germany.[citation needed]

The GSG-5 is produced in three different versions:

* GSG-5 A, with a 230 mm (9.1 in) barrel.
* GSG-5 L, with a 414 mm (16.3 in) barrel, designed to meet the legal requirements for minimum barrel length and overall length in several countries (including the United States). The longer barrel is covered with a barrel shroud (mock suppressor) for aesthetic purposes.
* GSG-5 P, a pistol version with an endcap instead of a buttstock. Barrel length is identical to the "A" version

you can get/build a MP5 clone for around 1500-2k, but i dont really see the point in one unless its FA. Its just a boring 9mm to me without the FA fun.

exactly my point. a legit fully auto transferable MP5 is like 20K+. might as well get a clone for $500 that shoots 22lr then waste 2K for the same thing that costs alot more to shot. not like youre ever gonna use it for self defense so you dont need anything more then 22.

true, im sure theres probably some loophole, I could have bought a MP5 clone for 1400 the other day, but if its not FA it just takes the fun out of it. I like the ak22 for a 22 plinker, I have a g36c body that i stuck a ruger 10/22 in, its a nice looking toy.
