Re:hah. hahah. sigh. hate the cams.
I forgot to torque my cam gear bolts once. It sounded like a diesel b16a. ::)

Re:hah. hahah. sigh. hate the cams.
2 of the times I took my b16 head apart I didn't put oil on the cams or cam seats before I started it up, the cams are all scratched up, but they never seized or anything.

Re:hah. hahah. sigh. hate the cams.
upon loosening the number 4 exhaust keeper, the cam rotated. so that one was a bit tight.
=/ even had a fancy torque wrench. |

Take the cams out, put the stock ones back in, clean the ---- out of the cam caps and front side of the timing cover, replace the keyway for the cam gear. Emory cloth any rough edges or grooves in the head or cam caps, and re-install everything. You will be fine, I've seen way worse that ran.

and change your oil + filter ;] it will be loaded with metal shavings if u ask me

Re:hah. hahah. sigh. hate the cams.
no metal shavings at all though... other than the outer part of the valve cover. it really just.. stopped moving.
so you don't think I bent valves or anything? |
