"But when you go and spend 45 bucks for a sticker for your engine bay in Japenese that you dont know what it says THATS RICE."
no really its not. but the jdm underhood stickers are only about 5 bucks if you look hard enough. they are not one bit rice at all. its called being a collector. its like calling someone that restores classic cars a redneck. I collect jdm ---- because I appreciate it, and I know its hard to get your hands on. besides whats more valuable, pepboys and local tuner shops, or things that came from the streets of japan.
also, look at the racecars in america, and the racecars in japan. which are cooler? neither one is cooler than the other. its just the fact that everything they have is what we dont get easily. thats why their stuff is much cooler.

Re:H-T =JDM Rice
I think I may not have been real clear when I started this post. Onyx, I like JDM parts as much as the next guy, but what I'm saying is how in reading H-T they make it kinda trendy, and not only trendy because I have no prob. being a little trendy, but it's like they think your car is total crap if you don't have JDM stuff. However, I go to HMT, and it's like comin' home. With few exceptions, everyone is pretty cool here, and won't flame you for your JDM stuff or lack thereof.
So just to clarify, I don't think JDM=Rice, I just think H-T kinda turns me off of JDM after a while. Maybe I should have never have even said rice!

Re:H-T =JDM Rice
I think that people should be able to do what they want to their car because it is theirs. If they want to put huge wheels or gay graphics, let them. i don't have a problem with that, but I do have a problem when they say their car is fast, blah blah blah becasue they have a muffler or stickers or anything like that. If you want to make your car for show, go ahead. I am more for performance over looks. Like some one said I like a nice clean paint job and thats about it. I have only hx wheels on my car since they are lighter and I haven't gotten my suspension yet. after I get my suspension on that is all I am doing. No stickers, wing, body kit, I want speed not looks. But that is just me.

My next car's gonna be another 1990 corolla, spraypainted flat black to hide the dents and rust, rolling on 13's torn smelly seats in the interior, and a REDICULOUS ------- ENGINE!
I think that no matter how your car looks, if the engine is totally insane, nobody can talk about its looks. Cars are meant to move people and things, and fast cars are meant to move people and things very quickly. That's what's important.
