Re: Ground Kit

I made my own grounding kit. Using a grounding block from Homedepot. And 8gauge wires. I grounded to like 6-8 different spots on the motor. I dont know if there was any power gain or anything. But my car idled much smoother. :y

So im going to go this route more than likely, so other than re-doing factory ground points with thicker wire is there any particular places I should throw an extra? Ive heard TB to chassis, Alt to Chassis, Valve Cover to Chassis...

Trying to do it either this week or weekend. I'll post up pics when I figure it out.

The valve cover should already have a ground.

Re: Ground Kit

i stole an actual spoon ground kit (not a knock off) from a friend. it was horrible, the clamp for he ground on the battery post seemed xtremely tight but in reality it was too lose and wasnt making a connection resulting in about 8 hours of pissed off. just replace the stock grounds with better wires and be done with it. hell make more grounds if you want, but keep away from the circle things on the battery posts.

I need to do this, my car runs like ass because of the 21 year old ground wire and single 8 gauge cable..

me? at the moment i don't even have a radio lol, but the car i'm buying this weekend will have one. my last car just had a kenwood deck, JL components, alpine rears and a 600 watt amp going to a 12" L7. everytime it would hit my lights would dim like a son of a bitch.
