I think you hit the nail on the head with that! I will not see a movie that is directed by Quentin Tarantino much less Robert Rodriguez. I think that most people nowadays are impressed with cinematography and forget the movie is supposed to tell a story not just special effects. Hell, if that is what you want you could do acid or shrooms and watch the world around you.

Now im just confused... what unbelievable special effects did Resevoir Dogs or Pulp Fiction have? Kill Bill was mostly just a lot of blood. Sin City had quite a few, but nothing more than any other movie. Sure you aren't thinking of George Lucas? I think those directors tell a great story in a very unique way. It has nothing to do with effects. Cinematography, maybe. but just because its refreshingly different. they are both good writers and badass directors.

sorry, I never saw the reservoir dogs. I did watch pulp fiction and kill bill. It is just the way that Quentin crosscuts the movies together the baffles me.
I am not saying he does not bring in the big bucks. I am sure that there are a few that can understand his off tangent thoughts but, not me.
The special effects are just not blowing ---- up it could also include crosscutting.

George Lucas on the other hand, most of his movies tell a story and and has great cinematography.

What's wrong with Georgia?? That's my state, where you from in GA Cspec?

I'm going to see Grindhouse. It is some weird off-the-wall ----, that's the point. Some people take movies too seriously, expecting them to be completely realistic blah blah. It's ------- entertainment. But yeah, I like Tarantino's movies, they're different from the usual ----. So I'll probably see it.

I agree. If I wanted to see boring everyday ---- where everything is real and nothing is unbelievable or out of control I would well.....not go to the movies. :P It's entertainment and you just have to look at it like that. I know there are some serious movies out there that are more than just entertainment, but sometimes you gotta remember what movies are here for. :-\ I hate star wars and anything that has anything to do with star wars, but milions of people LOVE those movies and a ton of them follow the movie like a bunch of freaks and those were some of the most unrealistic movies I've ever heard of. :-\ It entertained them.
