Look at the Ideapad S10, $349. It's about as fast as a P4, comes equipped with XP, is smaller falling into the Netbook range, and has a warranty.

The kidunit's been beating on an 866 Mhz P3 for a couple years now. It just died, so I decided fuckit and got her one of these.

FYI, UPS ground is currently free, I chucked $10 into the bit bucket to have it 2nd day'd by the 18th, and avoid holiday shipping stupidity.

Two day means two day to Lenovo. I thought it was their advertised two day processing plus a guaranteed two day shipping, placing delivery on Thursday, but goddamn if tracking info doesn't say it's out for delivery today.
