Welp, there's a new member to the family now.

Last Friday I went to go look at this dog I found on Petfinder.com. Key word "look." So I head down to Buckley thinking these people are nomral and live in a regular house whatever. The pictures I had seen of her didn't look like they lived in a dump or anything. So I call to let them know I'm getting close and she gave me the last few directions to get there. I didn't hear her say it's an RV park...but needless to say, I pull up and it's a ------- trailor park. A crummy one too. So I find their trailor and step inside and there's NO room. This place is ------ tiny and the entire walking space was being taken up by a single good sized computer chair. :-\ So the dog I was interested in was there, along with four other dogs and two cats. :o In a trailor that's the size of my God damn kitchen! And the place is a mess, dog food everywhere with other miscellaneous crap. Not to mention the baby pit that was there ---- in the trailor while I was there.

The lady was typical trailor trash yelling at all the animals for this that or whatever, all the while telling me how much she loves dogs and how she shows all these other dogs and yada yada yada. So basically, I wasn't planning on taking any dog home Friday. I just wanted to go out and visit her. However, they apparently thought I was coming to take her home. And after seeing the conditions she was living in, I couldn't drive away and leave her there.

So here's the puppy. Her name's Brynee. She's about a year maybe a year and a half old. And she's a pitbull greyhound mix. Basically the front half of her looks like a pit, and the back half looks like a greyhound. And heighth wise she's somewhere between a pit and greyhound.

that's an interesting color she's got thurr. She looks a lot happier too.

Make sure you take her to the vet, no tellin' what them trailor peoples got in there.

Oh yea she's got a good personality. Very sweet. Very cuddly. Just like a pit. She doesn't listen all to well once she gets outside, but I think it's for a number of reasons. First being because I've only had her for a few days, second because she probably never got out on walks growig up, and she's only had very basic training. But we will be working on all of that. And because I work at Petsmart, I get free pet training sessions! ;D

Yea I'll be taking her in for a check up. I got her for 25 bucks, with all her shots and already spayed! ;)

And that type of coat she has is called Brindal. I really like it. :)

she's fast...not vicious though. although she doesn't care for josh much. lol but she's getting used to him i think. but holy hell, you leave the front door open too long and she's gone. then you have to coax her to come back to you and grab her to get her inside. bleh, hopefully that will all change with time.

To make it HMT worthy, get a pic of her sitting/sleeping next to the crank and wisecos that are on top of the TV. ;D

greyhounds love to run. as soon as they have space they take off and don't stop for anything. otherwise they are dead ass lazy. sounds like you got the running part of the greyhound. you did a good thing rescuing that dog.

cool dog, looks like an interesting mix. my dad just got a great dane, its only 1 year old and its ------- huge, its cool as hell though 8)

She is quite skinny. But that is also the greyhound in her. They have very thin hips. But she's definitely under weight. So I'm working on getting her to eat more.

And yes she loves to run. Pits love to be outside and greyhounds like to be outside. So once the weather starts getting back into the warm phase we'll be finding some doggy parks to go run around in. ;D And she does great in the apartment. But I'd really like to be able to move into a duplex of some sort with a backyard to play catch and throw around a tennis ball with her. We shall see.

And yea, great danes are awesome. They slobber a lot, but I think they look so cool. A guy came into work a while ago with a great dane something else mix. At 6 months old it was as big as a normal great dane and huskier. He said it would probably get about another 1/3 of his size now bigger by the time he hits a year. Crazy! He's gonna be a HUge ----------er.

Where i live you aren't aloud to have pit bulls anymore...if you do have one it has to be muzzled at all times when its outside. Dogs don't hurt people, OWNERS hurt people. Its ------ bullshit. I had 2 dobermans and nobody cared, you walk around with 2 pitties you are a murderer. You also have to have your pit chipped now as well thats like $800? i think

holy crap, that's the lamest thing ever. pits are only "dangerous" if they're bred and trained to be. otherwise they're one of the most lovable dogs. it's too bad they have such a bad rap. you can thank brittain for that one. :-\

there both APBT...my dog is so lovable and very friendly(he loves people and cars) and he doesnt bark at all only when i get him furstrated...he at times is very hyper but what dog isnt...the only rules that we have is that if u have a pit or rott that u have a fence yard that is high enough that they wont be able to jump out of and that u have signs on ur property...

Usually good breeders make the request for a fenced yard. This should be the case for any breed dog . :)
