Default Got shitty credit?

Just a little tip for those of us who have shitty things on our credit reports. You can dispute any informtaion on your credit reports and have a decent chance of getting ---- removed/deleted. I've had SEVERAL accounts deleted from my credit report and just received the results from my most recent dispute which resulted in 1 account being deleted from Equifax and Experian and 3 accounts being deleted from Transunion. Not only that, my repo last year now shows up as "Paid after collection" with a 0 balance. I didn't pay them ----. :1

You have to do it on all 3 reporting agencies which will cost you about ~$15 each unless you find a deal or a discount. I claimed these accounts didn't belong to me and they give the company 30 days to verify and if they can't verify, it gets deleted. I'll do it again next year and probably have more ---- removed. My credit will be awesome in May 2010. :1

You can get a free report from www.freecreditreport.com but they will enroll you in some horseshit credit monitoring thing free for 30 days. Just cancel it in a day or 2 and you won't be charged for anything. I think the other one to try is www.annualcreditreport.transunion.com

annualcreditreport.com is the real completely free one. You get one free credit report from each of the companies once a year. (sometimes more often depending on the state)

Its generally suggested that you check one at a time, and every 4 months check the next one. That way rather than being able to only access once a year, you'll be able to keep a better eye on them

freecreditreport.com is free as long as you cancel your membership within 30 days. I think they put a $1 charge on your credit card just to verify, but that goes away after a day or so.

I get at least one account deleted per year.

How do you figure? I just used it and there was no scam involved. Are you talking about the credit monitoring membership? You can cancel that and not pay anything.

Every time you inquire into your credit, your score will decrease. Ask any mortgage rep. I have always had perfect credit. I value it.
