Got Hit and Run today, pics and poll inside
 

Not in the Dart, there is a reason its not the daily driver. Note Its covered in dirt because I snowmobile and yeah, it gets dirty traveling down the dirt/salt covered freeway. I was going to wash it on monday after riding this weekend but all the local car washes were closed because its so cold over here, it was 7 degrees on monday.

So I get out of my last class of the day (college student) and look at my cell phone, got a voice-mail, turns out to be from campus police saying my truck was involved in a hit and run. Truck had been parked since 9:30 in the morning when I got to school from work. It was 2:30 ish by now.

Turns out girl was parked next to me, angled parking at that, backed out, hit truck, got out of car looked at damage on her car and my truck and drove away. Luckily another girl watched it all happen and cared enough to file a police report. So the cops know who hit my truck and have all her info since to park on campus you have to buy a pass and register your car with the parking people. I might try to find said girl who filed report and thank her in some way, sex, monetary, her choice :-*

Anyway the damage is minimal, and as you will note, the truck isn't exactly show quality. More principle than anything, why drive away? I'm sure her car is much worse off, her tail light was shattered all over the ground when I walked back to my truck.

Police are getting her insurance info and everything like that for me and I have the option of filing criminal charges. Not sure If I am going to, Advice is welcome as to how I should continue. I would rather not mess up someones insurance, but the fact she drove away is aggravating. In all honesty I probably wouldn't have noticed the damage until I went to go wash the truck, The damage itself hardly bothers me, I am fully aware the truck isn't nice but thats not the point. What would you do?

what you need to do is find out who she is and confront her, if shes a filthy stuck up ---- about it and/or makes a comment about you driving a piece of ----, give her the option of getting arrested or letting you put it in her ass. if shes geniunely sorry and/or took off cause she was scared i guess you could cut her some slack. you wont even be able to notice that after you wash the truck.

I usually fall into the nice guy catagory, i would have a conversation with the chick and ask why you ran at least leave a note and tell her your not pissed and like i dont wana ruin your insurance over some little crap we are both college students and economy sucks right now so anyone who can get a break needs it i believe in karma and i am sure if you confront her polilety and just be like whats good and keep it chill it will prob workout better but if she is all ---- OFF and complete bitch then do what you want....BUT if she wants sex on top of all this DO IT UP 8)

remember put yourself in her shoes even though u might not ever hit and run...also look at it like this your a male figure more intimitdating also you own a truck...also more intimidating vehichle she might feel threatened so just be OVER nice but not easy

I would say she realized she hit and got out to check the damage, realized it wasnt that bad, and since you weren't around she just said ---- it and left - no big deal.... BUUUT how the ---- did she come that far over the line to hit you?!?! That's like a good 4-5 feet? is this bitch retarded/15 yrs old? Does not compute.


I say look her up, she at least owes you a DS - or if she turns out to be a bitch, steal her license and rip it up, she doesn't deserve to drive.

I'd settle with her, you need to make her pay for being a terrible driver. How in the ---- do you hit the vehicle next to you in those HUGE ------- PARKING SPACES???

Make her pay then buy her some driving lessons with the money.
