Not in the Dart, there is a reason its not the daily driver. Note Its covered in dirt because I snowmobile and yeah, it gets dirty traveling down the dirt/salt covered freeway. I was going to wash it on monday after riding this weekend but all the local car washes were closed because its so cold over here, it was 7 degrees on monday.

So I get out of my last class of the day (college student) and look at my cell phone, got a voice-mail, turns out to be from campus police saying my truck was involved in a hit and run. Truck had been parked since 9:30 in the morning when I got to school from work. It was 2:30 ish by now.

Turns out girl was parked next to me, angled parking at that, backed out, hit truck, got out of car looked at damage on her car and my truck and drove away. Luckily another girl watched it all happen and cared enough to file a police report. So the cops know who hit my truck and have all her info since to park on campus you have to buy a pass and register your car with the parking people. I might try to find said girl who filed report and thank her in some way, sex, monetary, her choice :-*

Anyway the damage is minimal, and as you will note, the truck isn't exactly show quality. More principle than anything, why drive away? I'm sure her car is much worse off, her tail light was shattered all over the ground when I walked back to my truck.

Police are getting her insurance info and everything like that for me and I have the option of filing criminal charges. Not sure If I am going to, Advice is welcome as to how I should continue. I would rather not mess up someones insurance, but the fact she drove away is aggravating. In all honesty I probably wouldn't have noticed the damage until I went to go wash the truck, The damage itself hardly bothers me, I am fully aware the truck isn't nice but thats not the point. What would you do?

what you need to do is find out who she is and confront her, if shes a filthy stuck up ---- about it and/or makes a comment about you driving a piece of ----, give her the option of getting arrested or letting you put it in her ass. if shes geniunely sorry and/or took off cause she was scared i guess you could cut her some slack. you wont even be able to notice that after you wash the truck.

I usually fall into the nice guy catagory, i would have a conversation with the chick and ask why you ran at least leave a note and tell her your not pissed and like i dont wana ruin your insurance over some little crap we are both college students and economy sucks right now so anyone who can get a break needs it i believe in karma and i am sure if you confront her polilety and just be like whats good and keep it chill it will prob workout better but if she is all ---- OFF and complete bitch then do what you want....BUT if she wants sex on top of all this DO IT UP 8)

remember put yourself in her shoes even though u might not ever hit and run...also look at it like this your a male figure more intimitdating also you own a truck...also more intimidating vehichle she might feel threatened so just be OVER nice but not easy

I would say she realized she hit and got out to check the damage, realized it wasnt that bad, and since you weren't around she just said ---- it and left - no big deal.... BUUUT how the ---- did she come that far over the line to hit you?!?! That's like a good 4-5 feet? is this bitch retarded/15 yrs old? Does not compute.


I say look her up, she at least owes you a DS - or if she turns out to be a bitch, steal her license and rip it up, she doesn't deserve to drive.

getting the shithead cops involved usually just makes things worse. i try to avoid pigs as much as possible.

try to get her to pay you back in some way, if she refuses use the court system as a last resort.

going to jail for bumping into a car and leaving is idiotic and disgusting. we have civil courts for these matters, thats where you should take this issue up if you have to.

I had no option there, the cops knew my truck had been hit well before I had any clue. They are also the ones asking if i want to press criminal charges.

I say you go for 200% reimbursement. See if she'll let you hit it. DO NOT LEAVE HER ANY VOICE MAILS OR TEXT CONFIRMING IT. Then afterwords sue her for the damage. Yeah that's right I'm a heartless sob. She didn't respect your property don't respect her rectum.

What is she going to say in court that she slept with you to pay off the debt? I would hope she would be so stupid to admit prostitution in court.

because she probably would have left no matter what car or how much damage. Lets say it had been your dart and it creased the rear quarter panel, she still would have left. She was hoping that no one saw her, because she did not want to own up to her mistake, so she is obviously a bitch and should be treated as such.

she probably got out, saw your truck was a piece of ---- and just figured you wouldnt notice, hence the truck being a pile of ----. But i think you should extort her for money, say youre gonna call the cops unless she gives you 10k and sucks your balls anytime you call her up. Or you could go the legal route, beat the ---- out of where she hit it so the damage cost rises and then tell her you want to take it up with insurance, if she refuses then tell her youre going to report her for hit and run and you have witnesses.

The "suspect" seems to be avoiding the inevitable at this point. Police have attempted to contact her and she is not returning phone calls. Not surprising considering the type of person she is in my eyes. So who knows whats gonna happen next, I'm just along for the ride at this point. I'm not losing any sleep over it. If i get some cash out of it all the better. Bitch needs to learn a lesson.

And I did find out who the girl was who called it in, so now I can thank her for doing the right thing. Maybe some good will come of this . :y
