Got fucked over last night *rant*
 

I'm down at college in San Luis Obispo and last night me and my buddy drove up to San Jose and bought him a clean as hell 2001 R6. After we get home we're sitting around watching tv at his place and I get a call..

My friend was driving downtown and he saw another "friend" pulled over in my car and in handcuffs.

I speed downtown to my car and it's already half way on the tow truck by the time I get there. My friend is belligerently drunk and being a dick to the cops.

He already has a DUI on his record and he was going to get his license back in May, he was super drunk, he was going 82 in a 35 and he had stolen my car to do it. (the keys were sitting on the coffee table)

I didn't want to follow up on a stolen car charge because it's a felony and I still didn't want to ---- this kid too much worse than he already is. BUT... if I didn't file the charge then I could get stuck with the $350 impound fee. I know he wouldn't be good for it unless I took action.

So now my car is in the impound lot. thank god i just got a motorcycle or I would have been much more pissed at my car getting towed. My ex-friend is in jail, and I'm pissed because i want to play hockey this sunday and my gear is in the back of the car. My friend also tried to claim the gear was his and said he was going to go play hockey.

----!!!!! Why the ---- is it so hard to keep your ---- together? Get a job, go to class, don't do tooooo many drugs, and don't drive drunk. Keep good friends, learn from people's mistakes and use common sense. Intelligent people are depressingly hard to come by. FUCKFCUKFUCK.

ha.. and the bastard gets to spend the weekend in jail on 50,000 bail.. serves him right

that sucks but have you tried to explain what happened to the cops?? I wouldn't exactly say he stole your car, but that he borrowed it....that way HE should have to pay for the impound fees instead of you. Good luck!

Ouch, that sucks. What an -------.

I wouldn't press charges for taking the car (depends on how good of a "friend" he was), but obvoiusly make him pay the impound fee. A second DUI is going to cost him quite a bit of $$$.

ya... i am going to get it out soon. I wasn't planning on letting it rot. and HE should be the one paying the fees. They knew that we did hang out but I wasn't home and he took the car without asking and then drove it drunk. By filing the stolen car report he is more obligated to pay the impound fee than if I hadn't filed.

He's gonna get fucked for this one but I don't even care. People like this don't learn from their lessons. so he's ---- out of luck in my book

Newsflash, he stole your car. Why the ---- didn't you press charges? He stole your car, and proceeded to go out and get smashed in it and drive it at a speed and in a manner that meant he was going to total it because he doesn't give a ---- about you.

You need to smash in his door and steal all this ----, every last item down to his dirty underwear that needs to be laundered, sell $205 + time and hassle money worth of it, and ------- burn the rest.
