Default Got in an accident yesterday

With the beater CRX. Rear ended a crown vic. He had scratches on the bumper...

I shattered a headlight, scratched bumper, annihilated hood, cracked rad, bent rad support and headlight support WAAAAY Back.

So I un-bent hood, used a tow chain and my buddies civic to pull my frame and rad support back out, found replacement headlight, and have the radiator sitting on my kitchen table with the JB Weld drying. I kid you not!

Should be all back together by tommorow morning. :1

Anyone have experience with JB Welding a rad? Its just the plastic end tank on the top.

Just as long as it will allow me to drive tonight to get my GF, and tommorow to go 40 kms to my parents house to get another rad.

Yep, it will hold for a while, but quick JB weld doesn't work as good as the regular for radiators from my experience.

I don't have the instructions, how long do I have to let it sit before I can use the rad? Its been maybe an hour already. It is "JB Kwik"

Who knows, it might work good, but from what I've seen the regular works better.

It 100% wont hold up to the heat cycles

I tried it on my rad for a small leak, it just kept cracking and the water would seep through

Theres ---- at Canadian tire, its a putty type ----, comes attached to a piece of cardboard and its called like GAS TANK AND RAD REPAIR or something, I think it was $5, you just take it out of the plastic, squish it all together (mixes both compounds) and its ROCK hard in like an hour.

Ive had it on my car trouble free all summer

Get that, you dont need a new rad

True story, my mom drove a car with a JB welded radiator for at least a year. She even JB welded it herself.
