Good recent movies?

Well with all the free time I have since ------- my hand over and the prison not letting me work till its healed, i cant find anything to do. I tried working out, but most everything involves my hands, so lots of situps got done. I watched all my movies already, my junk is about to fall off unless i get outa the porn section, and my house is spotless. I need something to do. Video games dont work unless they are point and click style games on comp, so thst gets old quick. Someone give me a list of good recent movies to download. Oh yeah, and im down to $87 till the 26th when hopefully i get paid again for going on short term disability. So nothing that costs money will work either.

Damn that sucks not having money. Here are some decent ones:

Grandma's Boy (one of the greatest movies ever)
No Country for Old Men
Hot Rod
Sunshine
Battlestar Galactica
Download some episodes of "Mr. Show"
Cloverfield just got released to DVD so there are better quality rips out than the horrible CAMs now
The Incredibles (shutup)
The Fifth Element
Ocean's 11-13

"Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang" is a good movie thats been out a while that not a lot of people have seen. DVD quality rips should be easy to find.

Get Hod Rod, it's a really stupid comedy but it's one of my girl and my favorite stupid movies :)

Into the Wild
There Will Be Blood

Don't bother to watch either if you are stupid as you won't get either.

If you want simple good comedies, Knocked Up and Superbad were both very funny releases of '07.

Re: Good recent movies?

3:10 to Yuma was good, haven't seen Into the Wild or There Will Be Blood but I'd like to. Cornfuzed Kevin Smith, Tarantino, and Rodrigues make the worst movies. They're so ------- overrated it isn't funny. Jay and Silent Bob are two of the biggest faggots ever to be on screen, and Death Proof was the biggest waste of time I've ever spent in front of a television. It was 2 hours of ------- stupid Tarantino banter back and forth with 15 minutes of action. You probably liked Coffee and Cigarettes too you sack of ----. ---- you and your bad taste.

i think 3:10 to Yuma was waay overrated. It was a decent movie, but nowhere near as good as i expected/it was made out to be. I thought Death Proof was the ----, I like tarantino's style of "banter" as you put it. Thats what I like about his movies, witty banter. Plus, the soundtrack kicks ass imho.

Jay and Silent Bob are funny as ---- too, im a fan of mallrats, chasing amy, etc etc.

TorganFM 04-09-2008 07:29 PM

Re: Good recent movies?

Death Proof was awful. All that movie had was tons of pointless lazy Sunday dialog... whee. Like the kind of ---- you talk about on the front porch. It's like paying to watch paint dry.

I'm hook on Nacho Libre. Yeah it's not that new, kinda corny, but when you've got kids. Having movies that have boobs busting out and ---- this and ---- that are every other line. You have to tame it down. Man I'm getting so domesticated it's not funny. :'( *slaps self...quit acting like a bitch* There I'm better. :6 American Gangsta is one of the best movies I've seen in awhile. Only thing I found cheesy is that it takes place in the 70's and it's got RZA from Wu-Tang in it and they didn't even cover up his big Wu symbol on his arm. :-\ Nothing that important but something caught my eye right away.

Re: Good recent movies?

Thought this was about recent movies but I guess not

Some I like:
Requiem For A Dream
300
Pulp Fiction (not all Tarantino is bad)
Thank You For Smoking
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

I have a ton more downloaded but either my computer can't handle their HD-ness or I haven't got around to watching them.

I do have "no country for old men," "3:10 to yuma," and some other new ones but haven't had the chance to watch them yet. Also got the Dexter series ripped, heard from many it's good.

HMTdmc 04-09-2008 11:06 PM

3:10 to yuma is probably the best movie Ive watched in months.

Employee of the Year (or the month?) was also a good one. Not the recent sam's club one (although that had some funny parts), the one where they rob a bank and it has a surprise plot twist at the end. Good stuff

Re: Good recent movies?

bubba ho tep is pretty funny (tho not new, i think it came out in like 98-99)
but is completely rediculas
the whole plot is elvis is not dead he is like 60 and in an old people home and he and this black dude team up to fight mummies that want to suck their sould out of their asses
it's completely rediculas but is ------- funny

and as stated before anything that rogan was involved in is good
such as
40 year old vergin
superbad
knocked up
and "freeks and geeks" the complete series, it's like $40-45 on 6 dvd's and is an awsome show it came out in 2000 i think and was cancled after 21 or so episodes but if you like the kind of humor in superbad and them you will like freeks and geeks

That's the one with Matt Dillon. Good movie

I just watched Never Back Down. It was a decent movie, a lot better than I thought it would be. Has a Karate Kid/Fight Club thing going on.
