Getting some HITS....
Wow, I just started looking at some graphs generated by my webserver.. Holy ----, this Forum has made the site generate alot more users & hits. I use to get 15 thousand hits on my front page each month... I am getting over 35,000 right now per month, lol and that is without the projects and ---- even up.. hahah.
Bandwith is doing very good suprising, the forum only used 4gb last month, which is great! alot less than I thought. Just wait until the pics get back up, and it will easily be hitting 30gb a month again... maybe even higher? :( Jeff |

Well no ---- man, this site kicks ass, hey even tho i live in ontario canada, when i install my turbo i will be refering to this forum for help, and when i'm done i'll put a homemadeturbo.com sticker on my ride when its all done up.

The one I'm using for crxohio.org has unlimited bandwidth, but only 50mb space... unlimited MySQL databases, for $10 a month I'm sure you can get more space for more $. -Henry |

I dont know how I am going to generate money for this site. I have tons of ideas, but none of them seem worthwhile. Stickers, and t-shirts are probably the first things that I will sell. I would love to offer adapter plates, but its not worth my time to make 5-10 on each plate, and running back and forth to UPS everyday. Still looking for a good source on that. I have also considered making "Starter Turbo Kits" coming with the little things like oil/coolant lines/gaskets or whatever.

Personally I dont think you will do well with T-Shirts. They will cost you about $5-7 a piece to make and then you have to have all sorts of colors and sizes in stock to be able to fulfill orders, which equals a LOT of $$$ to get started. Most people dont want to spend more than about $10 on a shirt if it is on the Web. It is a real pain in the ass. I own several e-commerce sites that sell all kinds of stuff. I spend the first half of my day fulfilling orders and at the post office. At least with stickers you can drop them in a little envelope and sitck em in the mailbox, plus the profit would be a higher margin. My $.02 Jon Black |

Ya, I dont know, I would like to do t-shirts, but maybe not. I was thinking about doing something similar to how honda-tech does them... I dont even get involved in the shipping or any of that. The company has all the stuff ready to go. You just give them a logo. Jeff |

I have around 10 sites hosted with PHPWebHosting.com I have had no problems with them. The support is a little slow, but I usually dont have many questions for them. Well worth $9.95 a month. Jon Black |

I agree sticker, shirts, e.t.c. would really sell weel as the site is very popular and well known.. I'll take a t shirt and some stickers.. Plus I'll still send ya a money order... Im imagining that some of the people here could contribute with artwork for the shirts, e.t.c. "myself I cant draw a line".

I like the sticker idea. I think they are fairly cheap to make, and it free advertising. I always see skateboard companies saying for $3 plus shipping you can get some stickers, so they can't be that expensive.

And all the credit goes to.........ME, lol, j/k yeah stickers would kick ass, but you cant have small stickers that you put in an envelope, they have to measure at least 20 inches in length, so people can put them on the back of their cars or on the window of their hatch, and you cant fold a sticker like that. Now for my solution. Make the sticker divided in 3 and then people just line them up when applying them to their cars. that way you can put the sticker in an envelope...and send me a smaple one since i'm so clever, lol. i'll take pics of it on my car.

I'm not gonna go for some if they are small, i met this guy here in london today that makes that type of stuff, i'm just gonna spend the money to make on that will be on the window on my hatch, cuz i want it to stand out. and in return, i expect some amazing step by step instructions from you guys on how to install a turbo, ;) thanks
