Unless you are spraying it with water with red food coloring in it, then that would look weird/cool.

We use water sprayers on refrigeration condensers all the time. It does a great job at improving the efficiency when the ambient temperature is high and not enough cooling air available.
You know the STi comes stock with an intercooler water sprayer.

Refrigerators aren't flying down the road at 60 mph

It's not ment for when you're driving. It's so you can lower ambient temps while you're on the track waiting for a run.

I'd look into water injection before an intercooler sprayer, but since you already have the parts, why not?

in that case why not just pour ice water on it

if you wanna cool your intercooler before a run, use dry ice

Like i quoted before, in my opinion, that water spraying ---- is worthless. Dry ice sitting on your ic 100x better than water.

Oh and you have a fmic, be creative think of a way to rig it. Or make a rig around your charge pipe to cradle the dry ice.

Just get your assistant to purge a CO2 fire extinguisher over the front of the car before the run.

A lot of racers throw bag of ice on their Intake manifolds while they are waiting in line...
