Naw, not twEECer, the EECTuner from Moates. Much more like Uberdata. Uses EPROMs but probably expensive by the time you get all the ----...

But you didn't respond about the manifold bolt height issue. I only asked because I was going to do this kind of thing to a 351 before and it seems I remember the manifolds weren't quite the same when turned upside down. Unless those are supposed to be upswept 'dragster' headers, in which case you are a pimp. OK, fine either way you are a pimp. Good luck!

i'll go take a look at a set of spare 302cid ford heads i have, and look at the bolt pattern. i wasnt aware of any kind of issue with the manifold to head.
if there is a problem, the way id solve it is by taking my air compressor and a bit and match the ports. there is a ---- ton of room and stock 5.0 HO heads to port.

well, i guess they are offset a little bit.

on this website im looking at, the made the bolt holes on his headers bigger, and then put them on so the ports would line up.

i never thought of this...

i guess this is the way i'll do it... drill another hole so the ports line up

Here are the completed headers to be used on Dad's car. They are a set of 1.5" unequal length shorties with the head attachment holes modified for upside-down installation and the outlet flanges removed. I really liked the way Bryan's Fairmont headers worked out by removing the connection that the TT Capri had and figured we'd go that route on this car.

well, i looked at the headers, and im just going to port match the headers to the upside down gasket. the ports on the head are so small. they'll probably clear the upside down header, but i'll work the header ports to make sure. there is a lot of room to play with on the header flange

Sweet. Its coming together nicely. I miss my stang. I remember what it was like firing that thing up. Hearing what a car should sound like. And stomping on the gas and ripping the tires loose like it was nothing. Torque was cool.
