79.9p a litre in britain, its ridiculous about 90% is TAX. it costs me 35 GBP to fill up my 1400cc civic

I know most of you are bitching at the 'towel heads' but instead you really should blame your government. I'm not wure what all the numbers are everywhere but in Ontario tax on gas is 54%

So, .75 a litre * .54 = $0.405 tax per litre

Which means gas is really only 34.5 cents a litre for the consumer. I think that is really cheap. The government is worse that corps!!!! :o

ya about the suv comment my d16a6 w/450cc and t3/t4e isnt all that gas conserving unless i'm on the highway. i bet it gets <20 mpg when i get on it nonstop. and then 30 ish highway. but its cool i have the choice to waste gas or not.

driving my dad's new ram 5.9l is crazy, he's lucky to get 13 mpg.

yep u got that right. gas is cheap, but the government doesnt think so. i think its about 3 billion in gas tax BC collects each year.. now u tell me it costs 3 billion to maintain all the roads..
