The tire changers at Big O are ASE certified.

And Joseph Davis, I was master certified at 21, that doesn't change the fact that the average tech is 42 and makes 80k a year and that most dealerships pay you 50 cents more an hour per cert (4 dollars an hour more for master cert) for a reason.

Sad thing is that homo lives in the same city as me!
I may be wrong here but wouldnt the steering lock have come on if he had swithed the ignition off? Chances are he would have stacked it into traffic or a barrier.

Career mechs have blown out knees, and back problems, and are used up before retirement... for what? 50 hour weeks of busting your hump, no energy after work and no energy on the weekend until Sunday rolls around at which point you have to go to bed early so you're can be up early Monday morning. I know two dealer techs fucked up in the line of work, permanently disabled, both got ~$250K settlements. Again, worthless! That in no way covers the amount of money either would make over the course of their natural lives, and it in no way compensates for the fact they are fucked up, useless, and in pain for the rest of whatever sort of life they lead.
Forgive me if I'd rather make a real wage, working real hours, and would like to offer my $0.02 on the subject for the people willing to listen. You want to learn about cars? Go hump grease for 2-3 years. Then go do anything else to make a living - you'll be happier + healthier.
