I'm making my crx rwd... and I'm leaning towards a 13b turbo. If not a 13b the engine needs to be small, forced induction, rwd, fuel injected, and preferably come from a car with independent rear suspension.

lol they just look small. You can manhandle a d series well enough by yourself, but you have to have some big peach's to pick up a rotary by yourself. Those fuckers are heavy and are wider than pictures look.

Aaron, good to see another rotary fan here. Starting to think me and kain were the only ones. stay around and educate people here, i could pick your brain for awhile too.

It was probably as big as joke here as anywhere, but seeing as it did come out 7 years ago, references to quotes may not always work immediately.

No need to be rude...

The displacement of a 13B is 1.3 litres. It may pump air like a 2.6 litre engine, but it still displaces 1.3 litres and nothing will change that.

I carry rotary blocks on a regular basis by myself, and I'm far from a Hercules. Getting it out of the engine bay however takes a few people. Best to use a hoist.

Lighter than a 1jz... the other engine on the top of my list. I might just be settling for an overpriced sr20 swap though.. bleh.

When moving them on the ground, wight wise I would say
20b>16b>Rb26/25>2jz/1............sr20. You can find N/a rwd Sr swaps with trans and wiring for under $800 shipped.

----.. I can get a ka24de swap including rear subframe for that much, it's just the motor smokes. 1jz is an iron block... I've also been considering an xr4ti motor etc but that bitch weighs 450lbs (!!!). I think I'm keeping my options open for now. I'll probably just go pick up the 93 240sx rear subframe from the junkyard and work on finding a good motor this summer. I have the time.
